There was just a nice segment on WTAE TV News about the National Guard helping EMTs in parts of Pittsburgh where the roads are not passable. A lot of the roads in Pittsburgh neighborhoods are not plowed (or not plowed well) due to cars being parked/stuck in the side roads. So the National Guard and their Humvees are helping fire and ambulance crews reach those in need of help.

It never fails to amaze me the things National Guardsmen (and women) do to help out; military service, community service, etc.

Anytime anything needs done, they are there to help.

My buddy Ron Ehrman who does on track lineups at Lernerville is a National Guardsman, so I have a soft spot for the work they do.

They don't always get the recognition that Active Duty servicemen do, but they should!

I'll second that!
