The Sixth Annual Red Miley Rumble is just a few short days away and the excitement surrounding the event continues to grow. The UFo and ULMS Super Late Models will face off in a 53 lap feature event paying $5,053.00 to win. In addition the Winged Super Sprints will tackle the high banks of "Dirt's Monster Half Mile" in the second installment of the Black Jack 21 Series. Their 21 lap main event will find the winner claiming the $2,153.00 top prize. The Pro-Lates, Late Model Sportsman, Hobby Stock and Young Guns will also be in action.

The UFo/ULMS "Red Miley Rumble" is a tribute to former PPMS and Motordrome track owner Red Miley. Red was the leader of Miley Motor Sports until his passing. Red was born in 1953, and was 53 years old when he left on May 3, 2007. The number "53" is significant throughout the event as indicated by the number of laps of the UFo/ULMS Super Late Model main event. In addition, position sponsorships in the amount of $53.00 have been purchased by local businesses, race fans and other marketing partners, further adding to the overall payout for both the Super Late Models and the Winged Super Sprints.

"We are looking forward to another action packed event showcasing both the Super Late Models and the Super Sprints," commented Speedway Owner Matt Miley. "This event is designed to provide the racers in both divisions with additional money through the position sponsorships rather than just rewarding the leader of each lap. All of the drivers and their crews work hard on raceday and throughout the week and we hope they appreciate the funds provided by our marketing partners."

At press time over $3,500.00 has been added to the Super Late Model payoff by the positions sponsorsand more than $1,500.00 in additional position sponsorships have been secured for the Super Sprint portion of the event. Anyone interested in this affordable marketing opportunity which will further increase the payout should contact Matt Miley at mmiley99@comcast.net or (412) 736-3142.

Local favorite Dave Johnson scored the victory in last year's "Rumble" and is expected to be one of the favorites this Saturday as well. Other PPMS stars expected to challenge for the win include last Saturday's feature winner Alex Ferree, Michael Norris, Daryl Charlier, Jared Miley and veterans Lynn Geisler and Steve Baker.

Mike Knight currently leads the Kennedy Motorsports ULMS Point Standings by just ten digits over Boom Briggs. Jason Dupont, Robbie Blair and Bump Hedman complete the top five in the ULMS standings with Dick Barton, Ron Davies, Gregg Satterlee, Jared Miley and Matt Lux occupying positions six through ten.

Satterlee also leads the UFo points chase and is followed by Keith Barbara, Ferree, Mike Johnson, Jason Rider, Jason Covert, Miley and Brandon Burgoon; with Geisler

and Coleby Frye completing the top ten. All of these drivers are expected to be in action on Saturday.

Super Late Model Teams are also advised that there will be a $50.00 Entry Fee, with all proceeds returned to their portion of the event purse.

In addition the Super Late Model teams also have the option of running "topless" (without their roofs) as the UFo event that was cancelled by Mother Nature in July was to have been "topless."

The Super Sprints will make their second appearance of 2012 as part of this huge event. The 21 lap feature will pay $2,153.00 to win and $250.00 to start.

Danny Holtgraver claimed the lone appearance of the Winged Super Sprints on Sunday, July 1st and the young North Hills resident will be trying to score another win this Saturday. Ed Lynch, Jr., Andy McKisson, Eric Williams and Jack Sodeman, Jr. are also expected to be in action and challenge Holtgraver and Lynch, Jr. for the top prize.

This week's "off track action" will find the Three Wide Super Sprint Simulators in the Yuengling Winner's Circle area providing race fans with the opportunity to "get behind the wheel" and battle each other for the 'Monster Half Mile Simulator Master Title.'

Pit and Grandstand Admission gates will open at 5:00 with the first green flag waving promptly at 7:00PM.

Adult Grandstand Admission for Saturday's racing action is $20.00. Seniors, Ages 60 and Over, are admitted for $19.00 with Juniors, Ages 13 to 16, priced at $10.00. Admission for Children aged Six through 12 is $5.00 and Children Under Age Six will be admitted Free. In addition, all children aged Six through 12 will receive a free gift when they present their admission ticket at the PPMS Gift Shop, which now features Apparel by Denise.

Pit Admission for this week's racing action is $35.00.

In 2012, the management of Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will utilize a Sunday evening rain date in the event Mother Nature fails to cooperate with the Saturday night racing action. Times for the Sunday rain dates are as follows: Pit and Grandstand Admission Gates open at 4:00PM, Hot Laps at 5:00PM and Racing at 6:00PM.
