Really? Is that why the sanctioned races are usually the most attended events at the tracks?

If the tracks don't need them, then why do they pay the sanctioning fees? Is it just to lose money?

Where do you guys come up with this stuff?

Lmao great response

Dirt...i like it

I'm with Bacon Bits, would much rather see a Fab Four show at Lernerville or local Saturday night show any time.

It wouldn't matter for me. I want to see the best-of-the-best. However, if a supermodified race was close...I'd probably go there.

2012 Race Count - 8 Races, 7 Tracks, and 3 States 2011 Race Count - 53 Races, 23 Tracks, and 6 States 2010 Race Count - 50 Races, 6 Tracks, and 2 States

I don't know. Why did McKean County Raceway walk away from their WoO race this year? I doubt there will be many more WoO races at Eriez Speedway. Don't these promotors realize that they are walking away from millions?

As far as attendance during these events, I will take your word for it. I learned the lesson years ago that I could see better racing at a weekly program for about $12 (sometimes less) than I could at a typical WoO or Lucas race.

Enjoy the next level and the gazing. Take BUDWEISER75 with you. He sounds like a critical, independent thinker.

Remember to support your local dirt track.

Also remember that sanctions need tracks. Tracks don't need sanctions.

i enjoy weekly races at lernerville. and go to UFO. ULMS. 3-state flyers. All Star sprint series. Lucas. and Outlaws as well. to say the weekly series at local tracks are better than seeing a national series is ridiculous. and how is it determined that if i want to see the best drivers on dirt racing as stargazing?? comparing weekly fab 4 racing. to firecracker or silver cup. is apples to oranges. go to the dream or world 100 at eldora. or knoxville nationals for sprint cars. world finals in charlotte. and tell me a friday at lernerville or your other local track is better. guys hitting pipe and boozing to much. i support my local tracks. as well as traveling to tracks. i am a dirt racing fan.

It's a matter of opinion, not a matter of right or wrong. The problem with seeing the best drivers in the country is the terrible formats they run. I am just as big a dirt racing fan as you, and I enjoy myself just as much at a Fab 4 show as I did the Firecracker. Not saying you should feel the same way, but I stand by what I said.

Like others have said, I could watch fab 4 all the time and be a happy camper. When it comes to Lucas or WoO, I try to only go to ones where the regional competition is really good. I like to watch the regional badasses Covert, Shaver, Brady Smith, Birkhofer, Lathroum, Chris Madden (just examples), to see if they pick off a tour event more than stargaze.

If my memory is correct the only thing McKean County Speedway done for last years WoO race there is provide the track and track workers. Seems some other private parties and WoO provided the cash for the show.
The show was a huge success with a standing room only crowd.
I have heard why they are not there this season and it has absolutely nothing to do with the WoO or success of the show.....
