INAUGURAL FASTRAK NE “MANUFACTURERES NIGHT” AT SHARON SURPASSES $28,000 IN PRODUCTS & CONTINGENCIES TO BE DISTRIBUTED SATURDAY TO DRIVERS ALONG WITH DOUBLE $1,500 TO-WIN FEATURES By Mike Leone August 16, 2012 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Pulaski, PA)…With the inaugural FASTRAK Northeast “Manufacturers Night” just days away, Series officials are thrilled to announce that the total amount of products and contingencies to be distributed to FASTRAK drivers Saturday night now exceeds $28,000! Originally scheduled as a $1,500 to-win Northeast Tour event, the night got even bigger when the May 27 Bill Emig Memorial “Wild Card Weekend” Night 2 got rained out, and has been added to this program. The make-up feature will determine the $1,500 “Bill Emig Memorial” point fund with $500 going to the champion. NOTE: THIS EVENT BEGINS EARLY AT 6:30 PM! What began as a new concept for the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Pace Performance FASTRAK Northeast Late Model Touring Series, “ Manufacturers Night” originally guaranteed the racers $15,000 in actual product giveaways, but that number has now almost doubled due to the overwhelming support of manufactures and companies throughout the country! “I never would have imagined last winter that Manufacturers Night would blossom into this unbelievable night that is going to be this Saturday at Sharon Speedway,” expressed sixth year Northeast Co-Director Vicki Emig. “Words cannot express the sincere appreciation we feel for all of our own great sponsors along with many new companies that have joined the effort to make this event a huge success!” Since last week’s press release that detailed the initial list of product giveaways, many new companies have come onboard with additional product; they include FK Rod Ends awarding three complete sets of Late Model Rod Ends valued at $500 each, a $700 custom Late Model wrap from Speedwrapz, and Dave Poske’s “Octane Race Products,” All Star Performance, BSB Manufacturing, and Keizer Aluminum Wheels all contributing other racer desired items. All of the 2012 major contingency sponsors have awarded prizes at a minimum value of $250 each, with many others far exceeding that value. Some of the major prizes that will be given away are four F-4 Tornado Brake Calipers valued at $2,600, a complete set of Genesis G1 Series Shocks valued at $2,314, two sets of Beyea Custom Crate headers valued at $800 each, and a Lincoln Electric Power Mig 140C Welder and Cart valued at $750. Over 75% of the prizes will carry a minimum value of $250, with the rest at least $150. Other awesome gifts will be a Custom K1 RaceGear Nomex Driving Suite valued at $750, a Turbo Start 16-volt battery and charger valued at $450, Wiles Racing “Carbon Fiber” driveshaft valued at $580, and two Weld Racing Wheels donated by Utsinger Towing valued at over $400. Some of the other major items will be Wrisco Aluminum’s contribution of four packages of six sheets of aluminum valued at $360 each, Hypercoils’ five packages of four coil springs, H&H Racing Equipment and Wylie Race Cars each giving six $250 certificates towards purchase of any product. Five Star Race Car Bodies, Frankland Racing Supply, Race1, and VP Racing Fuels will also be giving multiple certificates for product. As an additional bonus giveaway, Rocket Chasses will award a $1,000 certificate valid toward the retail purchase price of a Rocket chassis frame, SpeedWrapz has given a $500 certificate toward the purchase of an apparel package, and BSB Manufacturing has contributed a ½ off certificate towards the purchase of a complete set of bird cages, a $450 value. Theses certificates will be part of the bonus drawings over and above the other 50 items and all participants will once again have the opportunity to win these great values. Keizer Aluminum Wheels has generously given the top 20 feature finishing drivers a $50 certificate towards the purchase of wheels Lastly all 50 competitors will also receive two cases of Quaker State “Synthetic” Racing Oil valued at a minimum of $100 and a t-shirt from Wylie Race Cars. With this in mind, 50 racers are guaranteed to leave with a minimum value of $250 in actual product. The current list of prizes (as of August 16) is posted below and also attached in the e-mail. This $28,000+ of giveaways for “Manufacturers Night” does not include the nightly product contingency giveaways valued at over $600 that includes The Brake Man, Genesis Racing Shocks, K&N Filters, Precise Racing Products, and Utsinger’s Towing’s Hoosier Tire giveaway. Adding these values in for the both the make-up and regular program, would bump up the total of giveaways to approximately $30,000! The 50 drivers pulling the best 50 pills in the night’s original pill draw will be eligible for the prize drawings. The order of the drawing will be from the highest pill draw number to the lowest pill draw (a reverse of the heat race lineups). In the event there are less than 50 drivers participating, the prizes that remain will be awarded to the driver’s finish (feature, non-qualifier, etc.) that corresponds to the prize number listed (ex. There is no track registration fee, only the $75 entry fee for the night.
