The September racing action at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway continues this Saturday, September 22nd, as we present a five division Action Event featuring the Super Late Models, Pro-Lates, Late Model Sportsman, Hobby Stocks and Young Guns. In addition, the PA Vintage Modifieds will make their second appearance of the 2012 season.

"We realize that some of our competitors travel to the higher paying events that many speedways have during September and October; however we believe it is also important to continue our weekly Action Events as an alternative for those teams who choose to stay closer to home," commented Speedway Owner Matt Miley. "For the remaining events this season we will also utilize the Open Tire Rule for the Super Lates, Late Model Sportsman and Hobby Stocks. In addition, the Sportsman competitors will be permitted to compete under their "home track" rules but we will not permit spoilers for those drivers that use the wide tires. Also any carburetor will be permitted in the Sportsman Division."

The Western PA Vintage Modified Division will make their second appearance at the Imperial, PA oval this Saturday. The division features restored Modified cars from the 1960's and 1970's and the competitors will also have their cars on display behind the main grandstand prior to the evening's racing action. Maryland competitor Rick Pastor won the Series' July 14th main event over Paul Bacchus and Al Byerly.

Pit and Grandstand Admission gates will open at 5:00 with the first green flag waving promptly at 7:00PM.

Adult Grandstand Admission for this week's racing action is $13.00. Seniors, Ages 60 and Over, are admitted for $12.00 with Juniors, Ages 13 to 16, priced at $9.00. Admission for Children aged Six through 12 is $5.00 and Children Under Age Six will be admitted Free. In addition, all children aged Six through 12 will receive a free gift when they present their admission ticket at the PPMS Gift Shop, which now features Apparel by Denise.

Pit Admission for this week's racing action is $25.00.

In 2012, the management of Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will utilize a Sunday evening rain date in the event Mother Nature fails to cooperate with the Saturday night racing action. Times for the Sunday rain dates are as follows: Pit and Grandstand Admission Gates open at 4:00PM, Hot Laps at 5:00PM and Racing at 6:00PM.

Fans are also invited to bring their own refreshments however; glass bottles and alcoholic beverages are not permitted. In addition, coolers are limited to 14 inches or smaller in size. Don't forget that the Checkered Flag Food Court has a great variety of delicious food like hot and juicy quarter pound cheeseburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, curly fries, hot pretzels and cotton candy at "fan friendly prices."

Race fans over the age of 21 can purchase alcoholic beverages at Ed's Pub, which is located under the main grandstand. Ed's features all major brands of beer plus wine, mixed drinks, and energy drinks at local tavern type pricing! In addition, coolers are limited to 14 inches or smaller.

Fans are encouraged to sign up for free race day text messages to get the latest information on weather or traffic delays that may impact the racing action by clicking on the "Rained Out" logo on the speedway website, www.ppms.com.
