I'm not sure any of you even watched the race. I thought it was damn good. Sure, not as fast as late models, but those are heavy machines. More like a good street stock race. I don't tend to complain about a NASCAR race that has lots of 3-4 wide racing and guys going balls out green to checker. That's nonexistent these days. You say those guys can't drive on dirt? Bloomquist was an embarrassment last year, a lot of guys with experience weren't that good, and the winner had ZERO dirt experience. Only thing that would have helped is if the 3 truck could have stayed in it til the end. He may have had something.

Wallace did a great job. I like the kid, he can drive. But, how difficult was it for him, really? The only pressure he felt was from Larson in a crippled truck that he was obviously carrying. How different was it running the top on that track to say, Darlington where the tires are junk after 15 laps and the cars are sliding around, bouncing off of the wall? The way the surface has been for this race, the inexperienced dirt guys are not being asked to drive a whole hell of a lot different they they do on a greasy asphalt track.

You want to bust on Bloomer, fine. I don't like the guy and yeah, he didn't do shit in a truck last year, but if you want to talk up the truck regulars for having good runs at Eldora with little experience on dirt, then you need to consider that Bloomquist never drove a truck before. And yes, I did watch the race. I'm sorry, but three and four wide at that speed does nothing for me, and I think, for the record that many of our Stocks around here would have been faster there, even on that surface.

You can make anything look competitive when its going half speed.

I like the race for the exposure it brings to dirt, but its an exhibition at best and not close to the real thing.

At least in the Prelude to the Dream you'd see people doing legitimate slide jobs.
