Long way from most of you guys but figured I'd post it for those who haven't seen it. Rocket is also giving away a bare chassis if the top point guy is in a Rocket and Hoosier is giving away two tires a weekend if the same guy can win both races that weekend.

Maryland Virginia chase for the championship guidelines.
-consist of 10 races at Potomac speedway and 10 races at Winchester speedway

-if a driver wins the 10 race points at both speedways that driver wins $20,000 in points money

-the top five in combine points for all 20 races will pay as follows 1st($20,000 if both won) $5000 if that overall point man does not win both., 2nd $3500, 3rd$3000, 4th $2500, 5th $2000

-each of the 20 races will pay $3000 to win $300 to start

-Drivers competing for top 5 chase points must compete in all 20 events to be eligible.

-all drivers will receive regular yearly series points at every event that count toward there 2015 track championship for the top ten awards banquet at the end of the year(drivers are eligible to finish in both yearly and chase points)

-tire rule will consist of Hoosier only.

-weight limit is 2250 with driver.

-there is no registration fee for any of these events

-events will be run back to back Friday and Saturdays, schedule will be out by Friday jan 16th

Potomac is a really great track, but just so hard to get to on a Friday night. DC area traffic. I know some of the Delaware cars are considering running this, which won't be good for my local DE tracks. Maybe they get a few hagerstown cars to run this series.

Are the racestud faithful going to bash this since it's Hoosier only ?!??? I don't see anyone bashing fastrack or rush or Lucas for being Hoosier only but they bash AR for putting up a point fund AND allowing Hoosiers to race just not for the point fund !!!!!

Jon I didn't see where anyone was bashing AR as a company or for putting up money for point fund. It has more to do with the dilution of crate racing and the whole tech thing but...........why do I bother.   Lol.....

So isn't this "dilution of the crates"  really RUSH and FASTRAK's fault for being a 1 brand tire series?       If they allowed both brands of tires, there would be no CARS!   period.

Whatever dude. This thread wasn't about crates or Hoosier. It's about some good money put up by Greg Gunter for SLM's. I just responded to Jon's post and probably should have just let it go. Save it for somewhere else

It's very impressive that Greg Gunter is putting up that money , just like its impressive AR steped up with the CARS fund
