Whats a good gear for tri city speedway

i usually ran a 5:43 there on 8 in. tires, that might not be enough on 10 in. tires.

basically, we never changed gear for TC, just be ready to crank in more left rear... banking in 3-4 is steeper than PPMS, 1-2 is about the same. track is more a sandy base, but not as slick, usually.

We ran there a few times yrs. ago but, i cant remember what what gear we ran. Maybe just leave the 67's in it and go... Thanks for the replies.

if you're runnin 67's at Pittsburgh, i would run a 5:83 at tri-city.

 

Pat, your kid has turned into quite the wheelman , i have enjoyed watching him the last few weeks .

Thanks stacy, he has really taken to it and amazes me every week. Our only other choice is a 6:00, dont have an 83 so i think i will just run the 67's 600's might be too much, this motor has a ton of laps on it...

maybe look for smaller diameter tires, that will add some gear...

It would, but isn't it more common to measure the circumference when referring to tire size?
