As an excavator of 23 years myself, if any additional clay does not have time to set and cure, that track will look like the Amish ran it in.  Not sure what the issue is here, but if it hasn't been tilled in by now, you boys are gonna have fun with it come spring!

couldnt have asked for a better fall/winter to get stuff done so far...it's been super mild and no snow to speak of

The "clay" got scraped off so that the races could be held one rainy week last spring due to greed and not wanting to cancel.and the surface was never returned...mostly cause track prep guy pulled all his equipment out due to never being paid...that's fact!! So don't jump on me for bashing a guy who was trying to reopen a track..a lot of smoke and mirrors when dealing with bo...same as some of the shady things that went on at the fairgrounds with the Derbys that blm put on!!
50-50 that where never claimed and the drawing for derby car that went unclaimed so the car was just parked out in the show...

Wake up people!! As legend would and has put it....HORN!!!!

You seem to have a knack for calling people stupid if you dont like what they post. Its no wonder you clowns cant agree on a set of rules.

TUNACAN... I said that when this post first got started. If somebody thinks you just dump new clay down and thinks it will bind to what's there. NOT HARDLY. Racers better be keeping a eye on what management at this place is doing.

Usually I enjoy reading the speculations and rumors associated with this site. Professionally it is good policy to refrain from responding to threads such as these. However I feel the need to set a few things on a more direct path. Since I promised in the beginning to always inform our racers and fans about the progress of what we do.

            

    I think any racer or race fan knows that the earliest you put clay on a track the better of it will be. In a perfect world we would have 3 feet of pure red clay that never yielded one pebble already graded into the facility! There is nothing more I would like to have trust me. Fact of the matter is, it’s not that easy. Many factors go into a decision of this magnitude. Do I use the clay that’s available at the facility? Cheaper but has lots of rock in it. Is there clay elsewhere that I could obtain? Yes we have found multiple venues that hold great clay. When you’re on the verge of spending thousands of dollars on clay your decision will be un-reversible once you make it. (At least with my budget) So I stalled for a while on it. Once I decided where I was to get my clay it had become increasing difficult to get my excavation crew there. People are very busy this time of the year and it is my own fault for stalling as long as I did. We are in the process of preparing to move in so we can hopefully clay before winter decides to step in. Hopefully we can. If not, many of you know that the previous company clayed the track this past spring. And as most of you all claimed it was a great surface! Fact of the matter is no matter the situation we will have that track ready to go once season starts.

 

Additionally I have heard many rumors, well just on this site. That I owe another company money. Fortunately that is not the case.  People may speculate in many ways, however I choose at this point to protect the truth in hopes to preserve their reputation.

 

Our demoltion derby series has made mention. The 50/50 raffle has nothing to do with Bo Lockwood Motorsports it belongs to the county, however the raffle car did have some involvement. Pennsylvania law requires that all winning raffle tickets be held for 24 hours before a second ticket may be drawn. In our case I could not offer a chance to drive the car 24 hours after the demo. Additionally we offered the alternate prize of “equal value” to be awarded to the redrawing winner. That number was drawn 24 hours after the previous ticket was called.

 

There are many rewording things about being a promoter. Watching drivers triumph, sitting with fans that truly enjoy the program, or providing a place for the race community to come together every Friday or Saturday Night. Unfortunately that also comes with allot of bad as well. No matter how hard you work at it somebody is always there to show you where you faulted. My contacts are public knowledge I ask that if your truly care about motorsports in your community to contact me and offer ways to help make the atmosphere better. Not destroy it.  As always we will continue to work well into the winter and spring to prepare the facility for another great season. If you dislike what we do than simply refrain from attending. Maybe give it a shot another season and see if we have improved. There will be nights where the track is rough, dusty, smooth, heavy, fast, and every other possibility known to mankind. There will also be nights where we work our tails off just to get a show in that nothing went right. Unfortunately that is life. Our goal is to work hard and try to improve each season. I will never please everybody and thankfully that’s not my goal. It is easy to point out things that need done to a facility probably the easiest part of anyone’s experience. It’s how you decide to pursue what you see that makes a positive or negative impact in your sport.

The promoters need to get together and make one uniform set of rules for Street Stocks covering all tracks in the western PA area!!   BUT THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!!

If i'm not mistaken, that was done between Sharon, Tri City, Mercer and Raceway 7 back in the 90's.  It was great until the racers got together at the different tracks and held the promoters hostage and made them change (tires, motors, chassis).   Once again the racers are their own worse enemy!

BO. I commend you for giving people your side of the story. I also definitely agree with you. Rumors should be kept to one's self. #1 it makes the person flapping his lips look like a ass. #2 rumors damage all involved, be it right or wrong. If you don't no, then just don't say anything.

This is comical to me .... This absolutely absurd concept that if someone is bashing you on social media accusing you of not
Paying bills that some how defending your self is " un professional " If someone accused me of that I would respond that second and I would also have the person I was accused of not paying state publically it's not true and they have been paid .... I never knew that winter is the busy time for excavators in Pennsylvania ... I always thought it was once winter ended that they got busy ...

Legend. ANY equipment sits, your losing money. Healthy equipment is working equipment. Mine went straight to parking area's for snow season. Service on site. Boy I'm going to miss that nightmare. NOT. New life, Hilton Head, SC. I even found a 1/2 mile dirt track not 30mins from me. Happy Happy
