FASTRAK Companies International
To All Media Outlets – 2015 FASTRAK Night of Champions Recap
February 1st 2016
FASTRAK PR Corporate Office, Carnesville GA;

(GATLINBURG, TENNESSEE) – The season concludes not when the New Year, January 1st arrives but in Motorsports when you have a big gathering among racing family and loved ones. That happens every year for FASTRAK Companies International with one monumental event entitled “Night of Champions”. The 2015 marquee event where almost $204,000+ purse handed out was held this previous Saturday for the inaugural visit to the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee held at the immaculate “The Park Vista a Double Tree by Hilton hotel and WOW what a beautiful architecture it was.

The competitors of the FASTRAK National/Southeast/Mid-Ohio Valley Tour along with the ULTIMATE Super Late Models Series and FASTRAK Weekly Racing Series’ families, spouses, and children all gathered for this night. In addition the FASTRAK Companies International corporate team along with the ULTIMATE Series and FASTRAK Series touring officials from Georgia to Pennsylvania we’re present as well.

The event started with a series of seminars and meetings for the FASTRAK and ULTIMATE Super Late Models Series’ throughout the day. Everything was talked about from engine builder discussions, to annual rules meeting to learning how social media is good and bad for motorsports plus learned how to do a Skype video conference call from anywhere to help build a better communication in this fast paced sport we love. The Night of Champions banquet with almost 200 people in attendance kicked off with social hour followed by what many say was “the best dinner at any FASTRAK Banquet before” as the delicious buffet style setting was a hit. The Night of Champions banquet got underway with Tommy Tedder and Wesley Outland handling microphone duties for the festivities. FASTRAK Executive Assistant and Office Manager – Brittanie Shore did an absolute standup job under such pressure before her ever to successfully accomplish this, “I was shaking literally when I woke up this morning but now I’m very appreciated by everyone at FASTRAK and the efforts of all this weekend with continued teamwork to make this be a grand show, it was something I’m honored to be a part of cause I love this organization,”.

“Going on thirteen Years, where has it gone I wonder but I love you all, all of you in this room. I can’t tell you how much all of you mean to me, I can be tough I know and ask for 110% of someone because I put 150% in it for you,” was a heartwarming emotional statement professed with tears rolling down Stan Lester’s eyes the Founder of FASTRAK Companies International.  Lester then preceded to give out special awards to individuals including: FASTRAK Presidents Cup - Billy Sawyer VA Motor Speedway Owner also VA Motor Speedway received FASTRAK Track of the Year, dignitary Dave Seay took the honors. Kelley Carlton received the FASTRAK Employee of the Year for his hard efforts and continuing success of the ULTIMATE Super Late Models Series and FASTRAK Special events.  Mary Kay Combes – FASTRAK President received a beautiful eagle trophy entitled “Wind beneath Our Wings”.

There was also the third inductions for the 2015 FASTRAK “Hall of Fame” as Stan Lester officially unveiled and inducted – Darrel Gabriel, Chevrolet Performance, Melvin and Sherlene Bishop from Princeton, WV Speedway. Driver and inaugural World Champion of 2005- “Hotrod” Steve LaMance was all in laughter and tears after his emotional response being inducted- there will be a special PR for the Hall of Fame inductees to be coming soon.

There was laughter and even a few tears after the heartwarming ULTIMATE video recap produced by Kelley Carlton’s life partner Allison Williams who’s a talent behind the camera and brought everyone to a new world of what the series was about besides the speed and chaos of the sport but heart of it. Then the top stars of the ULTIMATE Super Late Models series including three time $20,000 Champion Casey Roberts and Dustin Mitchell for being Rookie of the Year to end the 2015 touring year we're acknowledged.

The FASTRAK portion of the banquet was also very emotional with laughs and tears shed as the drivers from Georgia to Ohio we’re in attendance to be acknowledged for their accomplishments after a long 2015 season. Notable winner for FASTRAK from the $200,000 Night of Champions included, Ron Parker the $10,000 Southeast champion after a spectacular year after not winning on FASTRAK since 2008, he was the top man of the hour on the Southeast portion. Joel Prosser took the FASTRAK Mid-Ohio Valley Touring championship honors in 2014 and backed it up again for 2015. Daniel Hill topped the list of almost 500+ weekly racers across the nation to get the $10,000 title as 2015 FASTRAK Weekly Racing Series champion and Cla Knight was acknowledged being the FASTRAK Rookie of the Year after a great battle over Matthew Nance who finished 5th in points but Nance was also presented with the Chuck Field Memorial Sportsman of the Year Award and the Nance Family of Mother Sandy and Bryan Nance received honors of FASTRAK Crew of the Year Award. In addition but not in attendance to receive we’re special awards to Matt Matthew Long as FASTRAK Most Improved Driver of the Year. Long won the Engine Builders Challenge Non Qualifier Race in 2014 and a year later came just two spots shy to winning the $15,000 World Championships over Walker Arthur and Dennis Franklin. Finally David Lee Craig with SportsMedia.Net was recognized for his Appreciation for what he’s done broadcasting FASTRAK/ULTIMATE events since 2014.

In conclusion for all that attended experienced something we’re humbled yet thrilled to be a part of at this phenomenal event and weekend. Friends and family got to hang out like always and strangers they didn’t know became friends after the night ended. most importantly in closing, it wasn’t about the $204,000 dollars purse in money, contingencies, trophies, jackets etc. but most importantly the celebration of spending it with our racing family and loved ones for God blessing us continually to enjoy what is “The Night of Champions”.

2016 is certainly going to be BIGGER and more EXCITING than the 2015 race season. That’s all we can say for now but there’s a lot of things in the works even before the coming year.
