SUNDAY'S RAIN POSTPONES SWEENEY RUSH LATE MODEL TOUR "MFG NIGHT" PRESENTED BY MSD TO SEPTEMBER 11 AT TRI-CITY

(Franklin, PA)…Rain throughout the weekend combined with steady rain that hit the track just as the gates were set to open Sunday at Tri-City Raceway Park forced the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series "Manufacturers Night" presented by MSD Performance to be rescheduled for Sunday, September 11. Racing will begin two hours earlier now at 4 p.m.
Well over $45,000 in cash and contingencies will be distributed in this fifth annual event with $2,000 going to the Marquee Tour event winner. Pits will now open at 1 p.m. on September 11 with warm-ups slated for 3:20 followed by Bobby Lake Motorsports "Shock the Clock" qualifying at 3:45 and racing at 4.
The Sweeney Tour resumes action this Thursday (August 18) with a $1,500 to-win Platinum Tour event at McKean County Raceway in East Smethport, Pa. as part of the McKean County Fair. Race time is 7:30 p.m.
