October 13, 2016 (Sandy Lake, PA) Mother Nature delayed the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Touring Series from making its debut at McKean County Raceway on October 1^st, but the Series is set to make the first ever appearance for the make-up race this Saturday, October 15^th for day 2 of the 11^th Fall Classic.  Saturday’s Homak Penn Ohio event will be a $1,000 to-win show and will be the last point race for the Touring Series in 2016. 

 

McKean County Raceway is located at 7172 Rt. 46, Smethport, PA 16749.  On Saturday, the pits will be cleared at 10:30 am and will reopen at 11 am with grandstands opening at 2 pm with racing action beginning at 4 pm.

 

The Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Series will charge a $25 registration fee for all pro stock drivers participating in Saturday’s event.  All drivers will be eligible for a Hoosier tire and American Racer tire going to the highest finisher on that tire and a $25 gift certificate from Big Daddy’s Speed Center.  Series’ member drivers will be eligible for a variety of additional contingency prizes ranging from a Homak hand carry tool box to gift certificates to a bead lock.  Sponsoring the contingency prizes are Homak Manufacturing, Hoosier Tire by Precise, American Racer by Lias Tire, Precise Racing Products, Les Frickshun, SS Chassis, Close Racing Supply, Wedge Motorsports, Big Daddy’s Speed Center, and Phantom Signs & Graphics.  A hard luck award worth $25 will be presented by Shaffer’s Auto Service. 

 

Currently Chris Schneider is the point leader in the touring series, followed by Bobby Whitling in second; Brian Rhed in third; Rob Shook in fourth; and Randy Wyant rounding out the top five.  Don’t miss out on the McKean County Raceway Fall Classic!  It’s sure to provide thrilling, edge-of-the-seat racing!
