THE BIGGEST PAYDAY FOR THE HOMAK PENN OHIO PRO STOCK CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES IS THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 3RD- -THE ED LABOON MEMORIAL EVENT AT PPMS TO PAY $2,017 TO-WIN, $200 TO-START!

May 29, 2017 (Sandy Lake, PA) The 6th Annual Ed Laboon Memorial Race is upon us and will be broadcast live by FloRacing. The event will take place this Saturday, June 3rd at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania’s Motor Speedway. The event is the biggest paying race for the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series in the 2017 Season, paying $2,017 to-win, $200 to start and nearly $15,000 in guaranteed purse and contingency prizes.
PPMS is located at 170 Kelso Road, Imperial, PA. Pits open all day with wrist band check and tech starting at 4 p.m., hot laps at 6 p.m. with qualifying to follow. Information on the live broadcast and to join FloRacing visit http://www.floracing.com/.
There will be no registration fees. The event will have drivers participating in group qualifying, heat races, B mains, a Fast Dash, 25-lap A Main, and a 15-lap Non-Qualifiers Race. In addition to the major A Main $2,017 to-win, $200 to start prize, drivers will have opportunity at additional monetary awards: $517 to-win Non-Qualifier feature; $50 for fast qualifier; $50 for each heat race winner; $150 for dash winner and $50 to 2nd place in dash; a $100 Invader award to the driver who finishes highest as a first Ed Laboon Memorial participant; $50 hard charger; and, $50 hard luck. The top 2 finishers who purchase 5 gallons of fuel at PPMS will win 5 gallons of fuel courtesy of Bazell Sunoco Race Fuels and Miley Motor Sports. Additional contingency prizes will be available to drivers from the Laboon Family generated sponsors.
The Homak Penn Ohio contingency prizes to be awarded to all drivers include: a Hoosier tire going to the highest finisher on that tire and a Big Daddy’s Gift Certificate awarded by random drawing. Homak Penn Ohio Touring Series drivers will be eligible for a variety of additional contingency prizes: a bead lock rim donated by SS Chassis, a case of oil donated by Les Frickshun, gift certificates donated by Close Racing, Genesis Shocks, Schoenfeld Headers, ARbodies, Big Daddy’s Speed Center, Precise Racing Products, and Wedge Motorsports.
The event will be a series’ point race for both the Touring Series and M & T Allison Construction Segment Two. Drivers must join the series to be eligible for the point chases.
The “M & T Allison Construction Segment Two Shoot Out” will involve the three Touring Series’ races at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania’s Motor Speedway on June 3rd; August 5th; and October 6th & 7th. Touring Series Members racing at these races will receive points for the Touring Series, as well as points for the segment two point chase worth $1,000 to-win, paying the top five in points. Along with M & T Allison Construction, Miley Truck/CruiseAmerica Rentals will contribute to this three-race point chase.

Drivers can still register for the 2017 Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series. Registered drivers are eligible for per race contingency prizes like listed above, as well as major prizes awarded at the end of segment races and the banquet including: Homak tool carts and tool boxes; car wraps by Animal Graphics; car wrap by Phantom Signs and Graphics; ARbodies nose pieces; a set of Schoenfeld Headers; Five Star Bodies nose pieces; a set of Genesis shocks; and many gift certificates. Drivers are also eligible to compete in four point chases: the main touring series’ points for $3,000 to-win; segment one points worth $1,000 to-win; segment two points worth $1,000 to-win; and, segment three points for $1,500 to-win.
