By Katrina Gardner

It was Shultz Toyota Night at Old Bradford Speedway presented by Schaeffer’s Oil.  The main event of the night was the BEI Sportsman, who did not disappoint anyone on their first appearance at the track.  It was Andrew Smith of Lockport, NY picking up the win in the BEI Sportsman.  Rich Michael and Dylan Edminster picked up their fourth win of the year, Billy Deming picked up his third on the year.  The most exciting win of the night went to Anthony Schoonover in the Tasta Pizza of Bradford and Limestone Mini Stocks as he picked up his first ever win.

The BEI Sportsman were led to the green flag by Andrew Smith and Dave DiPietro with Smith leading the first lap.  DiPietro would take over the lead on lap 2 and lead till lap 16 when his car came to a stop on the backstretch on lap 17, with a burst of flames coming out the rear end.  During the caution for DiPietro 3rd placing running Brian Bellinger would also retire to the pits.    Smith would take the lead back over and never look back.  Following Smith, were Ray Smith who started 6th and Eric Williams who started in 9th.  On lap 29 Eric Ensell would take over third.  At the checkers it was A. Smith, R. Smith, Ensell, Derrick Borkenhagan, making a last lap pass for 4th and Williams rounded out the top 5.

In the Close Racing Supply Rush Pro Mods Adam Peterson and Critter Hemphill led the field to the green flag. It would be 3rd place starting Jason Covey leading the first 3 laps.  After the third caution on lap three Steve Dixon would take over the lead for the next four laps until he brought out the 7th caution of the race on lap 8.  On the restart it would be Rich Michael taking over the lead after rebounding from a lap 1 spin.  Michael would go on to pick up his 4th checkered flag of the season.  Rounding out the top 5 were Covey, Nate Hartzell, Critter Hemphill and Clayton Tarabori

The Rod’s Trophies of Eldred, PA Pure Stocks were led to the green flag by Ken Shelley and Mike Parmenter, with Shelley jumping out to the early lead.  Shelley would lead the first lap, with Billy Deming taking over the lead on lap 2.  Over the next 15 laps the top three would remain Deming, Shelley and Parmenter.  On lap 17 Parmenter would get by Shelley for 2nd, with Dalton Gustafson in 3rd.  At the checkers it would be Deming picking up his third win of the season, followed by Parmenter, Dennis Harrison, last place starter Jake Mascho, and Matt Putt rounding out the top 5.

Tyler Torpey and Andy Proper would led the Tasta Pizza of Bradford and Limestone Mini Stocks to the green, with Proper jumping out to the early lead.  Proper would lead until lap 6 when he retired to the pits.  With Proper leaving the track Anthony Schoonover would take over the lead on lap 7 and go on to pick up his first ever feature win.  Eric Canfield would come in 2nd after Brandon Buchanan retired to the pits on the final lap.  Jessie Tarr, Buchanan, and Joe Mason rounded out the top 5.

The Derrick City Diner Kids Class Mini Stocks had a season high car count of 11 cars. The kids were rewarded with their first 15 lap feature and they did not disappoint. Dylan Edminster and Brooke McClain would lead the field to the green.  Edminster would jump to the early lead with Josh Isaman and Josh Canfield close behind. On lap 8 Canfield and McClain would bring out the caution with Canfield going to the tail and McClain to the infield.  Under caution Blaze Harrison and Raven Burkett would retire to the pits. On the restart Edminster would again jump out to the lead followed by Isaman and Dusty Skinner.  The top three would remain the same for the rest of the race with Edminster picking up his 4th win of the season.  Isaman, Skinner, Canfield and in his firsts race Dylan Richardson rounded out the top 5.
