Thanks for posting this. It makes me proud to see such advancements in a segment of motor sports that in my (biased) opinion has given us the best drivers, engineers, and CNC/machinists. We ran karts nearly 20 years ago and were using precision "cut" tires; static weight set to a tenth of a pound; laser beam to adjust toe and tracking; and formulas to calculate our VCG. When we ran a pavement truck in 2002 we were fortunate to have a top late model driver help us adjust our toe in- with two pieces of angle iron and a tape measure! Karting is very precise on the set up (and driving) because you have no suspension other than tires, and in most cases, no motor. Everything must be smooth........Thanks again!
