The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series will give its drivers the opportunity to improve their points total with ‘Bonus Races’ in the 2018 season. All races with a purse of $10,000 to win or more will be labeled as a Bonus Race outside of the host region. The upcoming $20,000 to win King of the Commonwealth at Virginia Motor Speedway on April 14th, hosted by the ULTIMATE Southeast, will be the first Bonus Race opportunity for drivers in the ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass, ULTIMATE Mid-Ohio Valley, and the ULTIMATE Northeast. The King of the Commonwealth will be a required race for drivers following the ULTIMATE Southeast Super Late Model Series. Drivers who are following any of the other three regions can come to Virginia Motor Speedway and use their points earned to replace a lower finish from one of their region’s races.
Drivers must compete in 75% of their region’s races to receive any point fund money for the season. While missing a Bonus Race will not affect their attendance record, the Bonus Race cannot be used to replace a “0” or no-show for their region. The Bonus Race can not be used as a make-up for a missed race in their home region.
