April 6, 2018 (Sandy Lake, PA) The Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series 2018 season opener will take place at Thunder Mountain Speedway on Friday, May 4^th.  The speedway located at 304 Ramsaytown Road, Brookville, PA has hosted the series’ kick-off race for the last three years.

The event will be the series’ first point race in 2018.  Drivers will run group qualifying laps to determine heat race starting order.  The main feature event will be a 25-lap race, paying $1,500 to-win, $200 to start.  Additionally, if over 35 pro stocks participate, a 15-lap B-Main race, paying $500 to-win will be added to the event schedule. 

 

The Homak Penn Ohio Series will be charging a $35 registration fee for all drivers participating in the May 4^th event.  All drivers will be eligible for the fastest qualifier prize, as well as a Hoosier tire donated by Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic/Precise Racing and an American Racer tire donated by Lias Tire.  2018 Homak Penn Ohio Series’ registered members will be eligible for additional contingency prizes donated by various Homak Penn Ohio sponsors including but not limited to a wheel donated by SS Chassis & Supply, a case of racing oil donated by Les Frickshun, gift certificates donated by Genesis Shocks, Close Racing Products, and Big Daddy’s Speed Center.

 

Opening night for Thunder Mountain is Friday, April 27^th.  Stocks have an opportunity to race on the 27^th for $700 to-win in preparation of the Homak Penn Ohio Series opening event on May 4^th.
