It is on my list.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

If nothing else, the announcer is the sole reason for a visit. That guy could make a barbie jeep race interesting. First time we went he announced the 50/50 like it was a heat race. Said the winners name, that they picked up THE WIN and then did an interview with guy. It was quite entertaining for an intermission.

I heard he does Hummingbird as well. His bag of terms is great and he's got the perfect track announcer voice. That track is a hidden gem. Hopefully less so hidden these days, seems it anyway.

I'd love to see it reopen under the right management (only a 5 min tow from my house).  Lots of rumors swirling about that place, but until they actually start doing something with the track they're just rumors.  I think it would make a good sunday track small little bull ring.

I would love there to be more smaller and 3/8 mile tracks with a fair amount of banking. Everyone clamors for slick flat tracks and we have more than enough of those around here. I wish we had a track around here like Macon

Or FALS. But those tracks are as good as they are because of the track prep. There aren't any Bob Sargents around here to do proper track prep.
