June 20, 2019               FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Sarver, PA)...After five straight days of rain and with a 90% chance of rain forecasted throughout Thursday and Thursday night, World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series and Lernerville Speedway Officials made the decision on Wednesday evening to cancel the opening night (Thursday) of the "Firecracker 100" weekend.  The move will now condense the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series powered by Pace Performance "Bill Emig Memorial" presented by Hovis Auto & Truck Supply portion of the program to two nights- Friday and Saturday.  Warm-ups are scheduled to get underway for RUSH at 5:35 p.m. on Friday evening.

The 2019 "Firecracker 100" will be the 13th annual edition and will feature a complete show for the World of Outlaws on Friday paying $6,000 to-win followed by the "Firecracker 100" on Saturday night with $30,000 on the line.  The RUSH Late Models will compete on Saturday night in the 50-lap "Bill Emig Memorial" paying a Northeast Crate Late Model record $10,000 to-win!

The RUSH Late Model portion on Friday night will include FK Rod Ends $100 "Shock the Clock" Qualifying, $25 to-win FK Rod Ends heat races and the $100 to-win "John Buzzard Memorial" Dash, which will set the beginning rows of the feature lineup.  Saturday night's RUSH portion will start off with last chance B mains followed by the $10,000 to-win, $450 to-start feature and capped off with the $400 to-win, $200 to-start "Wheelman" non-qualifier race.  Even though the weather looks great for both nights, there is a rain date of Sunday.

Camping re-opened on Thursday morning.  The pits will be open on Friday beginning at 11 a.m. for hauler parking; registration and pre-race tech inspection will also get underway at this time.  The pits will be cleared at 3:45 PM and pit passes will go on sale at 4 p.m.  Currently the pill draw is slated to close at 5:05 p.m. and the drivers meeting will be at 5:15 p.m.  The updated schedule of events for both nights is posted here https://worldofoutla...acker_Sched.pdf

You do not have to be a member of RUSH to compete only to receive Weekly and/or Tour points.  The entry fee for the event is $100.  AMB/MyLaps transponders will be used.  Westhold transponders will NOT work.  Units are available to rent for the weekend for $25.  Driver radio will be channel 454.000.
