All this talk of combined PS and Ss class is silly, it's already been done, they're called emods and they weren't overly popular in the area when they started

apparently you have never actually looked at an emod if you think they are a combination of a pure and a ss.  same 4 bar rear suspension as a late model and more motor than 99% of the steel blocks have.

I'd take a 3100lb 3 link car over any lightweight car all day, no reason any ss should be 3 link.

actually there was a ULMS race there a few years ago, excellent race with Dave Scott starting last and finished 3rd i believe.  18 cars started.

If the 88 you are talking about is from the freedom raceway/little valley speedway areas the weight jacks/outboard shocks and aluminum intake probably don't fit pure stock rules

what happens when some of these guys who are running a LM on a pure stock budget get tore up?  I dont care what motor you put in it, when you wreck it its still a LM to repair.

2009 Downey metric chassis ss. Weight jacks, tubular upper a-arms, floater rear end, good bushings in front a-arms and rear control arms. Wilwood pedals, howe calipers. Good straight solid car.  $3300

the prices of shocks alone from a winning crate to a winning ss are not even close, hundreds of $ apart.

I don't race with either of them but I just watched the video and nothing about that accident was intentional from the way it appears.
