ULTIMATE invades Lake View Motor Speedway June 29th

The Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region will make their first appearance to Lake View Motor Speedway located in Nichols, South Carolina on Saturday June 29th for a $4,000 to win show.

Since the mid 1990's Super Late Models haven't visited Lake View Motor Speedway. The wait is over as the Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region will roll into the Speedway. Officials of the Ultimate Super Late Model Series as well as Lake View Motor Speedway are excited about this event and are pleased to bring Super Late Model racing back to Lake View for the fans.

June 22nd race program at Lake View Motor Speedway will include the Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region ($4,000), Limited Sportsman, Sharp Mini Late Model, and Stingerz. Pit gates are set to open at 2:00 PM with grandstand gates opening at 4:00 PM. Drivers meeting is set for 6:00 PM with racing to follow. Admission will be $35 in the pits and $20 in the grandstands with kids 10 and under free.

At 2:00 PM the Speedway will open the overflow parking outside of turn one for big haulers only. Infield parking will be for other haulers.

Headed into the weekends event the current top five in the Ultimate Southeast standings include defending Tour champion Zack Mitchell (233 PTS), Daulton Wilson (174 PTS), Anthony Sanders (140 PTS), Dustin Mitchell (137 PTS), and Jeff Smith (116 PTS).

In addition to the event; MavTv and Speed51 will be in attendance taking care of all the live coverage and filming.

I-77 and Tyler County offers up $32,000 in purse money for July FASTRAK West Virgi...

The FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance will return to action for a West Virginia doubleheader on July 12th and 13th, offering up over $32,000 in purse money. The series will visit I-77 Speedway in Ripley, WV for the 9th Annual UBB 29 Miner’s Memorial for $3,000 to win on July 12th. The following day, FASTRAK heads to “America’s Baddest Bullring”, Tyler County Speedway, for the 2nd Annual $7,000 to win Great American Crate Race.

Benji Hicks of Mt. Airy, NC is seeking his third consecutive UBB 29 Miner’s Memorial win, having won the event in 2017 and 2018 at Princeton Speedway. As the Memorial shifts to I-77 Speedway, Hicks will look to continue his win streak. Carson Ferguson, the current points and Rookie of the Year leader, has won the last three FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance will try to continue his streak which began Memorial Day weekend at Friendship Motor Speedway. Ferguson picked up his second win at Toccoa Raceway, following that up with a win at Virginia Motor Speedway in the USA 100.

Kyle Lukon of Burgettstown, PA won the inaugural Great American Crate Race in 2018, collecting the $7,000 top prize. Lukon went on to win the 2018 FASTRAK VP Racing Fuels National Weekly Championship.

Nick Schlager currently sits in second in the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance points. Michael Brown, a three-time winner this season, is in third. Tim Vance and Justin Hudspeth round out the top five.

First weekend of summer shakes up FASTRAK VP Racing Fuels National Weekly Championship

The first weekend of summer brought a shake-up in the top ten of FASTRAK VP Racing Fuels National Weekly Championship standings. Corey Almond of Appomattox, VA was the weekend’s biggest mover, moving up four spots to fourth in the standings, with a win at Elkins Raceway on Friday and a seventh place showing at Lizard Creek Speedway on Saturday. Derrick Shaw of Buckhannon, WV moved up two spots to eighth and Pennsboro, WV’s Kyle Thomas improved one spot to sixth.

Pineville, WV’s Michael Bland, on the AFCO Crate Spec Shocks, continues to lead the FASTRAK VP Racing Fuels National Weekly Championship, by way of placing second at Beckley Motorsports Park on Saturday night. Bland has now reached his fifteenth race of the season, meaning he will begin replacing lower finishes with his finishes through the end of the points season, September 2nd.

Troy Frazier remains in second. Donnie Dotson, also utilizing the AFCO Crate Spec Shocks, is currently third, followed by Almond in fourth. Trey Watson rounds out the top five. Thomas is in sixth with Nick Schlager falling to the seventh position after sitting idle this past weekend. With Shaw in eighth, Carson Ferguson and Luke Hyre round out the top ten.

Other winners this weekend were Ted Johnson at Lizard Creek Speedway, Henry Hornsby at Beckley Motorsports Park and Frankie Beard at Toccoa Raceway.

ULTIMATE Northeast to invade Clinton County Motor Speedway for first time ever

ULTIMATE NORTHEAST TO INVADE Clinton County Motor Speedway FOR FIRST-TIME EVER

The Ultimate Northeast Super Late Model Series will be at the Clinton County Motor Speedway in Mill Hall, Pa., for the first-time in series history next Friday night June 28th for a show paying $3,000-to-win, and $400-to-start.

The Ultimate Northeast Super Late Model Series will be joined by the IMCA 305 Sprints, Pro Stocks and 270cc Micro Sprints.

Mother Nature has not been kind to the racing world this year and same goes for the Ultimate North East regional director Rose Compton she has been working on rescheduling dates with Tyler County and Eriez losing both of those events to rain. 2019 winners thus far have been Justin Weaver at Hagerstown and Dave Hess at Stateline.

FAST QUALIFIER AND HARD CHARGER BONUSES ADDED TO CLINTON COUNTY EVENT

Pennsylvania race fan Travis Emig will be putting up two bonuses. The first bonus will be an extra $200 for the fastest overall qualifier in the nights time trial action. The second bonus will be an extra $100 for the features hard charger.

He will also be offering a $100 bonus for any driver who wins the 305 feature event who has not competed at the track before.

Provisional starting spot for ULTIMATE’s $20,059 to win Butterball Memorial announced

A provisional starting spot for the richest race in ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series is up for grabs at Richmond Raceway on July 20th. The winner of the 5th Annual Butch Shay Memorial, paying $5,000 to win on July 20th, will receive a provisional starting spot in the $20,059 to win 32nd Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial on August 16th and 17th.

The 5th Annual Buckeye Late Model Dirt Weeks will bring the stars of the ULTIMATE Mid-Ohio Valley Super Late Model Series and ULTIMATE Heart of America Super Late Model Series together for the opening weekend at Richmond Raceway. The mini-tour kicks off on July 19th with the $3,000 to win Prelude to the Butch Shay Memorial. The $5,000 to win 5th Annual Butch Shay Memorial will be held the following night at the Richmond, KY oval. Both races will pay $400 to start. Richmond Raceway will be awarding a provisional starting spot for the Butch Shay Memorial to the winner of the track’s Super Late Model feature on July 6th.

Recently announced was a format change and purse increase for the 32nd Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial. Qualifying and heat races will be held for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series on August 16th with B-Mains and the $20,059 to win feature scheduled for August 17th. Three ULTIMATE regions will come together for the Butterball Memorial, including the Southeast, Heart of America, and Mid-Ohio Valley. The race is a bonus race opportunity for drivers of the Deep South and Northeast regions of ULTIMATE, who can use their finish in the Butterball Memorial to replace a lower finish within their home region.
