Huge Week Ahead for Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in New York and Maryland WAYCROSS, GA (July 23, 2012) – The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will embark on a big week of racing ahead in New York and Maryland with well over $160,000 in prize money up for grabs for four nights of racing action. Kicking things off will be the series’ first ever visit to Stateline Speedway in Busti, NY on Tuesday Night, July 24th for the “The Empire 50” sponsored by Roberts Trucking and Davies and Sons. Then on Wednesday Night, July 25th the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will make fourth trip to Utica Rome Speedway in Vernon, NY. In the previous three appearances there have been three different winners with Ray Cook of Brasstown, NC, Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, TN and Watertown, NY’s Tim McCreadie coming home with the victories. On Thursday Night, July 26th to complete the New York-version of the road trip the series visits for the third time, Fonda Speedway in Fonda, NY. Jimmy Owens of Newport, TN the defending LOLMDS champion has won both times the series has come to Fonda. To conclude the week the series shifts to the historic Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD on Saturday Night, July 28th. The series has seen six different winners in the previous six appearances at Hagerstown. There will be a complete show each night for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at each race track with Red Buck Cigar Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains and a $10,000 to win/$800 to start feature event. If you are coming to Stateline, plan on getting there early as Jenifer is expecting the BIGGEST crowd in track history! grandstands open at 3. they are opening tickets up at 2pm. People already there camping. I know the UEMS personnel is arriving at 12noon(ish)... to get all set up as I feel this is going to be a very MONUMENTAL event with a ton of people and very good field of cars (both classes). Get out of work early, call in sick.. do what you gotta do, bring a few "pops" and enjoy the atmosphere.

Going to be a hell of a race and place will be packed, see what happends when you can make the price affordable so everyone can go to the gas, you get a packed place!

i'd love to be able to go to Stateline, but my schedule doesn't allow. However, i can't fail to notice that their admission is $20 vs. $32 @ Hagerstown. -raises eyebrow- What's up with that? Hmm, I'm fairly certain the price was inflated for the recent outlaw show if my memory is correct.
