Bill Lupinos, owner of Richmond Raceway in Richmond, KY has been announced as the new director for the ULTIMATE Heart of America Super Late Model Series. The ULTIMATE Heart of America Super Late Model Series operates in Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, and Illinois. Lupinos will take the helm for the 2020 season but will begin planning for the upcoming season immediately. The ULTIMATE Heart of America is scheduled for two appearances and three total races at Richmond Raceway in 2019.
“It is both an honor and a priviledge to work with DJ, Stan, and the entire ULTIMATE and FASTRAK team,” said Lupinos, “We are looking forward to building the series and giving the region some great racing events in the future.”
The ULTIMATE Heart of America Super Late Model Series will head to Richmond for the $3,000 to win Prelude to the Butch Shay Memorial on Friday, July 19th and the Butch Shay Memorial on Saturday, July 20th for $5,000 to win. The winner of the Butch Shay Memorial will earn a provisional starting spot for the $20,059 to win 32nd Annual Butterball Memorial to be held on August 16th and 17th at “The Beast of the East”. The Butterball will mark the highest paying purse in ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series. The ULTIMATE Southeast and ULTIMATE Mid-Ohio Valley will be co-sanctioning The Butterball.
