Nice to see that the All Stars will be at Waynesfield on Sat, but I was wondering what else is running with them?? I looked at their schedule and it does not state what else will be there. Just curious!

ifyou look back a couple of posts ago i think they said modifieds also but i would call the track , no more races than they have got in i think they should have a reg. show or redeem themselves with the stock car boys a throw them a race. my thinking is if i am paying more to see the allstars i want a full night of racing if you look at this from a spectators view the allstars will be a great show but i would want more bang for my buck.but thats my opinion and you know what opinions are like everybodys got one

i'm sure we're gonna be raped for the price of a pit pass. which ever class runs in support. pay more to get in for the same payoff as every other week, for races most of us wont even get to watch.

The gate price compared to payoff is not unique to WMSP for special shows. A lot of other tracks do the same thing. But with fuel prices for local drivers and teams it might save money compared to Eldora or Lawrenceburg.

i can tell you one track that NEVER raises gate admission not matter what kind of show it is. and they also have some big shows. 10,000 to win, 4400 to win, and 5 or 6 alms shows. pit passes are only 20 and grandstands 6-60 are 12. the one and only oakshade raceway.

I've never been to Oakshade. Back about 15 years ago when I was racing stock cars, everytime that anybody would start talking about Oakshade, the same statement always came up. Then everyone said that they didn't have insurance there. Do they now? Did they actually have insurance then? Does anyone know of anybody getting hurt up there and were they covered by insurance? Like I say....that was along time ago and I can't imagine that they would have stayed open this many years if that were the truth. There are alot of tracks that I someday hope to visit. Oakshade is just one on that list.

Josh was hurt his first year in racing back in '99 and was taken to the hospital and it was covered by Oakshade. I am pretty sure they have insurance based on the forms needed to sign to take kids into the pits (including needing to be notarized). The mod show there a few weeks ago was a great one.

Waynesfeild is a lot closer to home witch is good with fuel prices. Could eat up the DIFFRENCE in gate addmision real quick. Also it is nice to get home at a decent hour.

I can tell you it will cost you more than 10.00 to get into the stands. I look for it to be 20.00.

ur not tellin me anything push about the gettin home at a decent hour. our closest normal tracks are lima and waynesfield and both are an hour and 20. man was it nice to run at the shade and be home within 40 minutes. as far as the insurance kenny. yes they have it, but what does it really matter?? the reason i say that is when josh got in the wreck in 05 at the burg there policy wasnt worth a crap and if i remember corretely didnt even cover the cost of the intial hosiptal visit. but i am sure every track is different.

I know some one told me from lmp that when jimmy brown got hurt theirs took care of every thing. I was also told that when usac and WoO come to lmp they have to pay their own ins then they have to pay on top of that for WoO , and usac,s policy on top of theirs. And lmp policy is not cheap for each show.

Skinny

Does Waynesfield have insurance? I paid all of my bills out of my pocket and from the $ raised at the hog roast, auction and golf outting friends had for me. My work insurance paid also.

I am still paying this year for bills I still have.

Just wondering

Thanks
Hank

Hank you bring up a great question about Waynesfield. When our daughter got hurt racing karts there about 4 years ago they covered that and I didn't realize that they didn't cover any of yours. You have a good question that I would also like to know the answer to.

I wonder the same thing, because they never fix the guard rails after wrecks and I cn't see an insurance co liking that very much. Also no tech not even for safety??

Hmmmm. Sounds like a good question to be brought up during the drivers meeting. In a professional manner.
