TBA its getting close to July 12th. What will be going on for the 12th??
Will there be racing or not. Plus i would think that some of the racers would like to know.

Skip, July 12 will be the Shobe Family Reunion. No racing.
We do however have a date for the Late Models, Mods, Stock Cars, and 4 cyl.Tuff Trucks! Details for that show will be announced over the PA System tonight! Press release on Monday!

Next weekend is open for the stocks !

There a few open weekends for the stocks. Lmp doesnt race stocks again until july 18th, Then eldora doesnt run stocks again until Aug 9th. Thats a long dry spell for the stock cars.

O.K. WMP It is time for you all to get together and figure out your TBA dates , IT IS JUNE and the racers have been VERY limited (everywhere) this year because mother nature has decided to be a real B !!!

Now Listen up
-First off I have been around this sport for a very long time , and have seen tracks come and go. New tracks are interesting to me , because they always hurry and struggle to get that track built / open (most do that well) BUT then they get into a somewhat unforgiving groove (unlike that of the racers) where they have this routine of either letting the track/facility go to hell , or their schedule??? BALANCE is the key (don't take on more than you can handle , you DO NOT NEED 5 CLASSES if your doing things right) (I would not want that job , but your there , I'm not)

NOTE - Good example - look at Attica Raceway Park , they had (in the beginning) 3 classes and they have had those 3 classes since their first race in 1988 ( I was there , and there were only 4 305's that nite , but look at them now!! STICK WITH YOUR LOYAL RACERS , THEY ARE THE BLOOD OF YOUR RACETRACK
-Second -You must draw in your FANS , they are the HEART of this sport!
(And trust me the facilities are a BIG THING) THINK ABOUT THIS ONE - improve everything
mow the grass , build more restrooms/concessions , keep your menu vast!!! ( I think your the only track in this area that has WALKING TACO'S and they LOVE IT - I LISTEN and WATCH wherever I go
IMPORTANT ALSO ARE:
- car counts (to the fans - HEART)
- payouts (to the drivers - BLOOD)
ALOT OF FAMILY THERE
Look WMP , I have been there on several occasions , you all know how to prepare a race track (A GOOD RACE TRACK) and get a good nite of racing in , in good time too! (note - In my day I never got home early and DID NOT care , but FANS do care today) you have got that down!
I guess the reason for this reply / post is because there seems to be ALOT of mislead information between WMP and it's RACERS on dates and such?
You all CANNOT let these racers know at last minute what the HELL YOUR doing!!!!

That is probably the best post i have read on any forum i have been in. That also goes for other track also. Thanks for saying what others think. By the way, I have been around a lot of tracks in my time.WELL SAID RACECHASER!!!!
