Not sure where you are coming from with all this, but I am offended, as you seem to have it all figured out, without knowing ANY of the facts. Your .02, isn't worth 1/10 of that! Instead of Preaching to the Choir with nothing but speculation and innuendos for the basis of you Sermon, why don't you try asking someone who can answer your questions. My personal number is, and has been, attached to every press release on the WMSP website, since April 19, right up to today. I also see you've got a lot to say, but don't have the common courtesy to attach your real name to your comments and criticism! That's weak to start! "If I were going to promote"..... You are not, number 1, and SUNDAYS are all that's available without stepping on the toes of the other area race tracks where our fan base and racers are coming from! It's just that simple! In the future, if you want to know something, CALL ME! Don't get on here and bash, like a little school girl, and try to stir things up with nonsensical rhetoric!

I have begged and pleaded for this show to be ran for about 90 days now, and it is finally official! It was as soon as I could get it done, rest assured of that! We will be racing LM's Mods, Stock Cars, and 4 cylinder Tuff Trucks on Sunday, September 14!
FRIDAYS, NOT AN OPTION!
SATURDAYS, ALL BOOKED!
SUNDAYS, ONLY GAME IT TOWN!
Here is the list of the originally proposed Sunday TBA dates.

June 15: HS Graduations
July 20: Honoring Millstream's reopening
Aug 10: Honoring Millstream's race #2
September 14: First Ever appearance of the Super Late Models, and the long awaited Ohio Stock Car Showdown

Well said Jeff if WMSP was the only game in the area it would be a lot easier to schuele shows we would have packed grandstands and heck maybe i could make money coming out and helping instead of spending more between gas and food when i bring my son with me. But that not the case i think this season has be hard on everybody race teams and tracks. We have had better crowds this year but more would be good. I have to agree b-rad getting on here and spreading the word is helpful to the little bit of us who get on here and read these posts. You have to get out and spread the word. I dont know if it has or hasnt, It needs to be in some of the racing papers SSN and Mid American. I know it could be posted on TJ slideways or Hoseheads or other places. Its nice to see that DARF has shown up a few times. But like i have said before going up against eldora is tuff. Since there hasnt been to much racing and eldora not running sat night. Then with the 360,s to be here sat night i look for a pretty good crowd. Even if it is a 4th of july weekend. Lets just hope for some good weather for once. Hope to see every one sat night.

I agree with the need to promote more for this track to live. I know it may not be in budget, but maybe a little advetising could help? Radio, local TV? Newspaper... In Lima, Findlay, Wapak,? Even with the weak economy people are looking to do something closer to home, maybe they are just unaware of the good short track racing nearby?

We participate in usually 2 race shows before the season starts and do several sponsorship appearances with the car during the year and every time no matter where, we hear the same thing "Where is WMP, never heard of it". I agree is tough to promote but we're from Piqua and I watch the paper for advertisement and I see other Ohio tracks advertizing in papers in this area but I don't see WMP. This year we have been to Dayton, Piqua, and St. Marys for shows and have given away numerous copies of schedules to people that don't know about WMP. Once you tell them Waynesfield they look at you funny and say "where's that" but after you tell them about 10 miles east of Wapak off Rt. 33 then they say "that's easy to get to". I can't say I know the answer but educating the public helps. Let's face it you see some good racing at Waynesfield and if you come to see a race with your family of 4 your in for $40 and if you go to a track running that same night you'l be lucky to get 2 people in for that price so you can't beat the $10 for what you are getting, it's a great deal.

Well, I for one think that you've all but lost the racers for stock cars. And it's a shame. Almost everyone that I knew that raced there did a lot of lip service for WMSP and look where it got the class. ?????SEPTEMBER????? Come on. You had the best racers in Stocks, and Mods from Big E, and Lima. And the leasing of Millstream, probably is a one time thing on the 20th. And it hasn't been until recently that it was for real. So I don't think it was really a factor to get the stocks in.

I myself being a racer don't no why anyone would help out a race track that won't keep point's and crown a point's champion at the end of the season. The pit passes were upped 2 season's ago to pay a point fund and have a banquet,NEVER happened! I enjoyed racing there and it is a great racing surface,but the things the track has pulled with the stock guys, and the points say's it all!!! The rumor mill of Dean M. signing a 3 year lease to take the track over in 2009 I don't think will happen if the race at millstream is a big crowd draw,look for dean to take millstream over next year! and if that happens it will mean doomsday for waynesfield!

Oh come on now. I've made it to WMP a couple times, and really enjoyed it. I go back any time I get the chance. Findlay has 50+ years of history, and has always been my favorite track in addition to a lot of other people who feel the same. I definitely hope it finds a way to thrive and become profitable for whoever is owning it, but I don't see it taking the place of Millstream should it reopen on a regular basis.

Dont see the non wing sprint points !!!!! Iknow that they have only run one race, but shouldnt the track keep a tally on all divisions, besides I seen the car count was down for the 360's last race, im sure that the special race at Eldora had a little to do with it.
Anyway where's the non wing points. They deserve the same respect.

You had better watch the flag pole with a strobe light,you can be replaced with a short fat guy with a strobe light and a hot dog with relish in the other hand.

Kenny, where would my kids spend all of my money if we didn't have you at the track? I think we have pics of almost all of the trucks, many sprints and a few mods. They go on treasure hunts around the house to find money to buy pics at the track.
