American Motor Racing Association Mt Vernon, Ohio official press release: The 2005 AMRA Road Warrior Tour will include a first ever visit to one of the Midwest's premier open wheel facilities, as Attica Raceway Park will play host to the RWT on Friday, May 20th. Attica Raceway Park is located northeast of Routes 4 & 224 in Attica, Ohio. 1/4 mile north on Route 4 to Lemmon Street, 3/4 miles east to the Attica Fairgrounds. Attica Raceway Park has a comprehensive website @ "www.atticaracewaypark.com", where a virtual facility picture tour, contact numbers and directional map are available. The track offers excellant sight lines and facilities to the fans, and a well groomed track and spacious pit area to the racers. AMRA's president Bill Hayes states: "The AMRA is excited to have Attica Raceway Park schedule their first ever Road Warrior Tour event. As the AMRA continues to grow, it's gratifying to be included in a well known and respected track like Attica's plans. It is the AMRA's hope that this will become a long term relationship." "This will be the first visit to Attica Raceway Park for most AMRA drivers, so it will be a challenge for them to compete with the area racers who's famialiarity there will be an asset in defending their "home turf". Hayes concluded by saying "The AMRA's Road Warrior Tour is drawing more interest than ever in 2005. The scheduling inquiries are definitely up for this season, and it should prove to be a exciting year for both AMRA fans and racers". The AMRA sanctions open wheel modified racing through both it's weekly International series, and the Road Warrior Tour travelling series in Oh, WV, Pa & Md.
