Im sorta taking this article from the lima news paper. Is the UAW the ones to blame for the auto industry being in trouble. I for one will make a few mad in my comment but is the auto worker pricing himself out of a job with their wages? Do we really need a car that does every thing for us except getting you laid in the back seat? Do we really need a car with all these fancy gadgets that make it a car that costs 30,000 dollars or more? Are the cars getting to high priced for some to buy? I worked 21yrs in a factory and when i went home i feel i had just worked as hard as any auto worker who is making big bucks. When they closed the plant where i worked for 21yrs i was a union stewart and felt we needed a stong union. But i also felt that we were putting ourselfs out of a job with our wages. When i left in 1989 i was making a little over 12.00 bucks a hr. Our we ourself the fault for wanting to keep up with the jones with 100,000 dollar homes and big pricie cars. Plus with the medical bills and the price of ins is that what is driving the economy up. Do we bail out big business with our tax dollars, for CEO,s who are making big bucks to control their over head because they didnt control their budget to get them in trouble. At least we are getting a little break with the fuel prices, i for one have noticed a few more people out moving around on the weekends because they are now able to. Are we sending to many of our tax dollars over seas to countries who dont give a crap about us. Should we tell them to take care of themselfs and take care of our own? I know this doesnt have any thing to do with racing , but just killing some time. Will the economy hurt our racing this summmer with some losing their jobs and the way the economy is going? I for one have watched my 401k going down to nothing. Some people i know have froze their 401,s , plus i have heard some places that wont let their workers do any thing with them. Freeze their money or with draw any of it. I think we can all be thankfull if when you get up in the morning that you are still able to have a job to go to. Thank god for that.

100% on the money!!!!! The unions are there to protect the jobs of the auto industry, but the reasons the cars are so high priced is we have workers in the plants making $30.00 H.r. to push a broom or take a volentary layoff and get 95% of there wages to sit at home. I lost my job 10 weeks ago due to company down sizing and this is the first time in 25 years I have not had a job,and with all the experiance I have I still can't find a job. The auto industry has been there own worst enemy for years. That's why there is a s-10 race truck out there for sale right now,I need to make a house payment and be forced to give up the one true thing that has made me happyRACING!!!! If anyone knows anyone who needs a good Semi-Trailer mechanic let me know!!! While we have ignored the honda's and toyota's of the world thinking they will never sell here in the good ole USA,The came and smacked us right in the face,And the big three deserve what they get. NOT a 25 billion dollar bailout by us the tax payers. I was a teamster for 13 years and the only thing the teamsters were good for was standing there each month waiting on my union dues! Don't get me wrong,I love my country,I served my country,my son is serving our country, but our government needs to wake up and smell the coffee! While CEO'S are living the high life with there 25 million dollar salery's,The common joe can't afford to even buy a HIGHlife in the bar. Where does it end?????? I hope everyone has a great racing season in 09,and hope to see you all there, only it will be from the stands this year and not on the track. JUST MY 2 CENTS worth, and that's about all I can afford at this point!!!!!!
