minisprints only 8 to 9 times?? what a bummer, how can a class grow with only a few races? How can anyone spend money to get into this class when you only race 8 to 9 races. That class will no longer be a class by next year am afraid of. Think they need to rethink their sched. Am head to chilly ever weekend now. one less car already :(

What a schedule? Go to a meeting and we get told you will get at least 2 races a month and want a good car count and what do we get 9 shows, talk about being lied to. First Test and tune is on Easter, that' real convenient. The trucks got all but about 2 races and you want to see a class grow. I hope to see some races added soon for the mini sprints but right now I won't promote that track to anyone. Know of 2 people waiting to see the schedule who had looked at cars to move their kids out of karts, had the car they want located but was afraid this would happen and decided not to buy until they saw a schedule. Guess we spent an afternoon just to hear a bunch of BS and how they want this class to grow and become a stepping stone for those that want to come from karts and eventually go to the 360 or 410. If memory serves me right you had more trouble hashing at rules for the trucks to get them under control, maybe we should ask for another meeting and we'll get every week also, get away from 4 classes a night run 5 or 6, you told us in your meeting you can handle 5 to 6 classes a night or wait was that another lie, give the fans their monies worth.

Hey STIF , why are you bashing on the trucks? The trucks ALWAYS have a high count.I understand you want more mini
races scheduled, but do you have to make digs on the truck class to make your point?

We in the truck class already have a good thing going. Let's not add fuel to any fires and just let people say what they will. We know we get the races we get because of how reliable our truck counts are. Let's not be "THAT CLASS" that stirs something up every time the Track personnel turn around or looks on here. We all know that this is a really fun and fairly inexpensive class to run. The FUN part is all that really matter. Remember, you can't make everyone happy all of the time and for those that complain-- That's just what the do-- They try to drag someone else along with them. I say that I have enough to worry about besides other peoples problems. :P

This is for all the mini sprint drivers who think I do not have enough races on the Waynesfield schedule for you. If you remember, I said we had to have a good car count to keep this class. Also, I did say 2 shows per month. I have 4 more dates that will be added if the car count is good. These dates are JULY 18 + 25, AUG 8 + 22 that will be more in some months than 2. I said at the meeting if anyone had a problem with something you could callme and I will do my best to work things out. I am sure I will make mistakes but I will do my best to help any fan or racer with anything I can.

Thanks, Dean. I for one appreciate everything that you are doing. A positive attitude goes a long way. Everyone that has an issue should call you and talk things out. It doesn't help to come on here and complain, without trying to solve the situation first. There's no point in stirring stuff up, that just might be easy to fix.

I would think it would be better to put the races on the schedule and if you don't get the cars you want then you have the option to cancel. if someone is looking to move up and run at WMP and sees that schedule their not going to make the move. I myself after seeing the schedule last night began looking for other alternatives today because 9 races is nothing when trying to get sponsors and sit on that much in race equipment for 9 races doesn't make sense. I plan to call Dean this weekend and maybe i shouldn't have posted here first but I did because we have run WMP for every season we've been racing in karts and the mini and like the place but that's alot to hold on to for 9 races. There are other places to go but WMP is a great place and if they stick to the rules this year and with a points fund and nightly payouts it's better than any other track for us.

WANTS THE DIFFRARENCE TO ADD A RACE OR TO CANCEL ?

I think what dean is looking at is there were some times last yr that the counts were down in the minis and they ran almost every week. They ran a lot a times. I for one like the minis its a fast moving show. Its a no win situation. How many showed up at the meeting was there a count taken then as to how many there would be on a race night?. You have to admit the truck class is growing every week and yr. Every one has there likes and dislikes of each class. I would say take what you have and try to improve on it. is there another place that runs on sat night that is close so on off nights you can run there? i know things are tight and you want to stay local. If you remember the last couple of yrs you didnt have a schedule or what was going on in the coming yrs until the very last day. at least this is one of the first tracks that has a schedule out this early. For a first time promoter at wmp he doesnt want to stick his neck out to far. But i can also see your point as wether to buy or build a mini. Your caught in the middle, as well as dean as to what to do. Like i said its a no win situation on both sides as for a owner or buyer of a mini, as well as for dean sticking out his money on a class that he doesnt know if it will grow or not. I feel for both sides and hope it works out for both. The best thing is to talk with dean and others as to how many cars you could have on a given night. good luck to all. arguing on here doesnt get any thing done it just causes trouble for both sides.

heard Dean was at the Eldora banquet last night and due to some changes in Speedweek and a few other things a revised schedule will be coming out soon with races and classes being moved around some and added, he will not be leaving dates off this schedule so every class will know how many races they will have and when they will be. Also heard that several of the drivers that were honored at the banquet are scaling back for this year and not looking at running double duty each weekend due to ecomony and places where they are employed cutting back hours and such. Hope the ecomony turns around so we all will feel a little bit better about going to work and not having to wonder if this week is the last week before they are unemployed.
