Just trying to keep things positive for WMP. After looking at the schedule again it looks like we should give a thanks also to Lee's Hydraulics and Ohio cycleworks, THANKS!!!! Maybe instead of being negative and bashing (like other post) we should be shouting out some things for Dean and the crew that might help put some people in the stands this year. This would just be food for thought. Please keep it positive or I will ask that this post be shut down! I'll start off by suggesting: Maybe lower grandstand ticket price a buck or two and promote the heck out of it on the radio stations showing appreciation in the hard times. Also maybe give out some tickets to local radio stations for some advertisement time? Again please keep it positive and again thanks to Dean and the WMP crew.

That was my point on the other post. All you have to do is email racestud and they will kick him out. I want nothing more to see wmp make it amen to Dean. Dean proably put on one of the biggest shows at a track that was lifeless for 9 yrs. Yes thanks to Lees, and Ohio cycle works. I think every one is looking for nothing but good things to happen at wmp. When i called him in the fall he was buying some fence to be put up. And was talking about moving the ticket booth and installing some air.

I don't think they should lower the price in the grandstand. they were really cheap on the admission to begin with. Be patient, things will work out. Ithink the right man is on the job, just give him a chance. YOU GO DEAN!!!!

I AGREE WITH YOU 100% PEOPLE SURE LIKE TO TEAR THINGS DOWN WHEN WHAT IS NEEDED IS TO BUILD THEM UP. IM SURE IF PEOPLE TRIED THEY GET THE POINT ACROSS AND NOT LOOK LIKE A WEENIE. I HOPE DEAN CAN JUMP START "THE FIELD" ITS A GREAT PLACE TO RACE,MY 2 CENTS WORTH IS DO THINGS THAT APPEAL TO THE KIDS IS IT CAUSE 9 CHANCES OUTA 10 THE KIDS CHOOSE WHAT THE FAMILY DOES ON WEEKEND AND IF THE KIDS HAVE A BLAST AT THE RACES THE BATTLE IS HALF WON.

I for one love going to Waynesfield to watch the races and meet drivers.. I have met many people from the track that I talk to daily now and keep in touch with.. I do not know Mr. Miracle at all but I do hope that he is able to help jump start Waynesfield this year and get the stands packed. I for one look forward in coming on Saturday nights to the track. Of course we are always going to have someone that wants to find the smallest thing wrong and complain about it. Like I posted before in the past, if your not happy with the way things are being done, talk to the man in charge and voice your opinion or offer to help to make it better.. The worst he can do is tell you no.. There are many ideas on how to help promote the track and bring in people.. These days, almost all the drivers/fans have myspace or facebook and or their own websites.. Why not make a Waynesfield Motorsports Park logo/link that people can cut and paste on their site to help advertise.. People who visit their site can see the Waynesfield Logo and become curious, click on it and boom, they are on the site with the times/schedule/directions.. I am not saying you will have a lot of people come from this, but you never know. I have seen a lot of tracks that do the “meet the drivers night” This could allow the family to bring the kids out for a night at the track and let the young ones meet the drivers and see the cars/trucks up close.. This will help give the track a family feel to it. Flyers, I have seen a lot of people talk about newspapers and radio commercials, but what about all of these shows at malls (like the piqua mall show), TONS of people come to these to see the cars and get an up close view of them and to meet the drivers. Why not have Waynesfield flyers/schedules done up where people can pass out to the people or set up a booth that has all the information there for people to grab? The cars get the peoples attention, why not give them the info to where they can come see the cars in action? Just another idea.. I don’t know if the track has done these in the past, but what about Programs that the track could sell at the races.. You could have pictures of the track, history about the track, pictures of the track owners/helpers with alittle info about them, pics and stats of some of the regular drivers in there as well.. This could be a good place for business to pay for a spot in the program to advertise their company/product.. Maybe have coupons for so much off or two for one deals at the WMP concession stand… Then each weekend pick a few of the flyers and put a certain color sticker in a few of them and announce that if you buy a program with that sticker in it, your entitled to a free pop or hot dog at the concession stand..( Skip would be buying all the programs for that free hot dog  ) These are just ideas.. I just want to have a track to go to and see good racing and enjoy the atmosphere.. I have tons more but I don’t want to make this a 5 page post lol

Dean has already collected some photos from me because he is planning on getting some programs printed up. I know that is just one of his many improvement plans. He also told me that his wife was putting together a plan for a supervised childrens play area. The area might include a giant sandbox with wooden nickles buried in the sand. Prizes would go to the kids who find the nickles each week. Keep putting your ideas out for Dean to see and consider. If it will help make your families night at the track more enjoyable, it will improve the night for others as well. Dean is a smart business man. The sandbox area won't cost much to set up and should greatly help by providing a fun place for kids while mom & dad enjoy the races.

in this childrens play area you could have a mini waynesfield for the kids to race the hot wheels on, so that they could pretend to be their favorite driver.(or photographer) :P

I dont think we could get enough rope to have Kenny watch the kids besides that I do
remember a certain group of kids sneaking off in the corn field. If my memory is correct
The kids realized that the corn field was a BAD idea! After the announcer spotted them. lol

I heard a rumor that kenny thru money and candy corn into the field to draw the kids into the field.. Children of the corn. Maybe the next time Kenny needs to put his strobe light on one of the kids heads so he can use his strobe tracking device.
