If you check the rules on any type of racecar.....there is almost always a rule stating what minimum wheelbase is allowed. That is because the shorter the wheelbase, the easier and quicker it will turn. A shortbed should handle better than a longbed. Now there have been some races won with a longbed, but if I were building/buying a racetruck, I would want a shortbed.
But....I raced stocks for 10+ years and always was at or shorter than the minimum, and I still could never win a feature. So it takes alot more than that to win.

I went to Lima Land web site and they put this on for Friday August 21 dirt truck/ emod's/ thunder stock v's V8 trucks. Does anyone know if the dirt track trucks are 4 cylinder ?Has anyone checked out their web-site and seen what the cost of racing is?Do you find it a tad bit outraggously high and with the economy wouldn't it take from how many people are racing?IF YOU HAD A CHOICE WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE BIG MOTOR ILL HANDLING TRUCK OR A HANDLING TRUCK WITH A MOUSE MOTOR?

I asked them about the schedule , was it suppose to say 4cyl or v8 for the first part of the schedule where it just said truck. They emailed me back and it is suppose to be the 4cyl trucks , then the v8,s against the stock cars. I to think they should of put 4cyl before the truck. Their prices are the same as every one elses. The cost of every thing is up, makes no difference if its a race track or what ever. If you want to go racing you will just have to cut corners on others things. I feel for every one a lot have lost their jobs , yes its gonna effect some racers and fans.
