Dean, is there going to be a fee for the T&T next week? If there is can it be a lot less than before? it was the same as admission to the pits the last time we came to it, that's kind of "high".

I would have to say that i wasnt there last yr and dont know what they charged but Dean proably has to pay a regular full price for ins, no matter how many show up. Ive heard a official saying one time at lima, If one car hits the track and it gets rained out they still have to pay full price that they charge for a show. I know what your saying but dean will proably get hit hard for just a test and tune.

He will also have to pay full price for the safety crew, and at least 1 wrecker just in case. Skip is correct about the insurance must be paid in full even if only 1 car takes 1 lap. It might suprise some to know that one of the highest bills to pay each week is the ambulance. Dean needs to charge something to cover these things and I'm sure there will be a few track workers like the flagman and pit steward ect that will want paid also.

$10.00 per person for anyone entering the pits.

Dean is doing all racers a big favor with a 10.00 charge, when I worked for millstream speedway(very sore subject) the price for insurance each night was depending on the show anywhere from 1,500 to 3,000 dollars a night. Regardless of rainouts, and skip and kenny or right, with that and the saftey crew and workers Dean will lose money on test and tune. I hope the track won't take to big a hit with the current economic times, and if anyone can make it work it is Dean. I have know Dean a very long time and alot of times we did not agree on very many things. But dean is one hell of a promoter and I wish him and the track the best of luck this season! Oh! and a very big kudo's to all still racing,I lost my job and sold my equipment so I'll be cheering insted of driving! Good luck to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well good luck on your job search Denny. It sucks you had to leave your hobby behind but hopefully things will turn around quickly for you and you can get back behind the wheel and enjoy some type of racing again. I lost a very good job about 7 years ago when the company descided to move the plant to Mexico. The worst part was I really liked that job. I quickly learned that looking for a job takes more commitment than actually having a job. The economy is much worse nowadays and it will be a ton of work to find any job let alone 1 that pays descent and makes you happy. I am only 17 from the bottom of our senority list and keep worrying how long it will be until I'm out the door but they say things will get worse before they get better.
