How does everyone like the 305 sprints that run at Attica/Fremont? What do you think about the rules package? Looking to get some 305 racing in Western PA, using very(if not the same) rules as Attica and Fremont. I'm just looking for opinions on the class. Thank you very much!!

You should try posting your question on www.pitgate.com . That message board is mostly made up of the Attica/Fremont guys. Many of the 305 sprint teams post on there daily. I went to Attica last week and I think the 305 feature was better than the 410s or the late models. A guy sitting near me in the stands said "I tell everyone that the 305s are the best support class anywhere." The thing that is incredibley amazing about the whole deal is that they run for peanuts. I have seen guys talking about professionally built $10,000 engines in these cars. And the race winner gets $500 !! Now I know there is NO form of racing that is economical but the UMP modifieds usually get $600 to win in our area. You can buy a used sprint frame pretty cheap but I think most of the bolt on parts for the 305s are the same as the 410s aren't they? I quit racing stock cars when it cost more to replace 1 cracked cylinder head than I had total in my 1st whole racecar. It would just suprize me if you could get enough guys who are willing to start a new class of racing to invest $15k to $20k+ to race for only $500 to win. But the math might seem better to somebody who always dreamed of driving a sprint car but doesn't have an extra $100k for a WOO type sprint.
