SATURDAY 9TH RACES HAVE BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO ALL THE RAIN THIS WEEK. HIGH WINDS AND LOW TEMPATURES IN THE 40'S ARE OTHER FACTORS WE HAVE CONSIDERED FOR OUR FANS AND PARTICIPENTS. from the website :(

We had a lot of rain here Wednesday into Thursday and was hit with more thnderstorms Friday night. I think the problem is that we never really had a dry out period to actually work the track. Not to mention, I doubt that many people would want to sit in 40 degree weather with the winds blowing at 30 mph. Along with the drivers getting a rough track to drive on would suck. I think it was the right decision based on the conditions.

I think the right call was made. That wind does get bad out at the field . There has been a lot a rain in the last few days. Plus not enought time in between the showers to give it a chance to dry up or work the track. Plus non winged sprints on a track that could get a little rought because of all the rain , I would say a good call , better safe than sorry. I do know this yr these storms have been hit and miss. It can be pouring in one spot and a couple of miles away it can be dry.

I know its not dirt track racing and a lot dont care for it, but i like to at least like to pull for Sarah Fisher. My tv guide is not showing any time trials for indy arent they usually on for the first day? Just found it on lima cable Channel 67 But also if eldora is running and you dont want to go. There will be a good race on tonight darlington. That should be a fun one to watch, with a 6 pack of hotdogs.

this call won't make everybody happy but you can't please everyone. if they race and the track turns to crap then you got people complaining about the track. Mother Nature will give us plenty of chances to race. See ya next week.

Well. the call was probably right, but they had a great show at the Big E. 50 modifieds were there. Congrats to Gantt for winning his heat, don't know what happened to the car in the A, he started 2nd row and just peddled backward. Weather was a little cool, but the wind died down after the sun went down. But it was still comfortable. No shivvers..... Hey Skip, they got pulled pork BBQ now and smoked sausage sandwiches now at Eldora. mmmmmmmmmm!!!I sampled the sausage, it may go on to relace the covetted hotdog!!LOL They also had that Tenderloin sandwich place too, and one of those funnel cake places to!!OMG!!! FOOD OF THE RACING GODS(like I need it). See ya at the field. Doc

Out of all of the class,s of cars it seems like the mod class is growing. One thing i dont need is food. But i must admit it does sound good.
