Montpelier Speedway will be having Late Models and Lima/Eldora Stocks this Saturday in addition to their normal 3 classes of UMP Mods, UMP Street Stocks, and Thundercars. They are making an effort to bring back late models on a weekly basis, and are going to pay a flat fee of $75 (10 cars or less) or $100 (11 cars or more) to all late models who come Saturday night. Lima/Eldora Stocks will also be racing since they don't have very many races this month and the promotor wants to welcome them across the state line to Montpelier. Since neither Waynesfield or Eldora are racing Saturday, Montpelier should be a great place to go for guys looking to race.

Montpelier did cancel there show tonight (July 4th). I heard they was going to reschedule it for NEXT SATURDAY JULY 11th. For some of ya that never been to Montpelier, it is a short track that is very racey. The late models will be interesting to see there for sure. Please bring the Lima cars and show them what talent is racing at Limaland Speedway. Take care.

I don't think they are racing this Saturday (July 11th) because Gas City has their Sprintweek show that night, instead of their usual friday night racing. Many of the track workers and officials at Montpelier also work at Gas City, so I think they are taking this week off at Montpelier. If something changes I'll be there though instead of going to Oakshade. Some of the stock cars from Lima and Eldora could probably run in the UMP Street Stock class instead of Super Stock. The rear suspension on the stocks from Lima and Eldora seems to be the main difference. I know some of those guys came and raced at the Monster Mash last year and they were pretty equal with the UMP street stocks.
