im sorry but it would be very unlikely to see him and Jon battling for the win friday. there are way to many big hitters for a minor leager to come in and steal it. Its not like he has much, if any, late model experience. its possible to win it, id love to see it, but i think it would be pretty hard considering a few made it into The Dream. Id be content with them making the show, if Jeff was to run.

Pretty harsh comments......and pretty uncalled for. You could've let some people be optimistic about how Jeff would do! Afterall it didn't take Jeff long to pick up driving a sprint car when he did a couple of years ago. And remember, modifieds are the proving grounds or stepping stone if you will for Late Models. I think Jeff would've done well.

I agree jeff is a great racer in whatever he drives, he would of fig the lm out quick. all u gotta do is look at henry, his 1st year in lm and he is leading in the point in it. he has won a couple races in it already. and as far as minor leaguer lol u put jeff in a good car he will out run alot of the big dogs on a daily bases. I have been around racing all my life and i didnt know that there was so many different classifications for drivers. but i know what he meant calling them what he calls them, he just needs diff words to use. like instead of minor leager maybe call them local heavy hitters. versus national heavy hitters. I think our own local heavy hitters jon henry, perrin, moore, schlenk and bowersock have a very good chance at winning that 7500 dollars tonight.
IM BACK................

Posted 10 July 2009 - 11:06 AM wow i would be glad to see one of the local boys win but that is a tall order.being realistic i think some can do well but things would really have to go their way.i dont mean to say anything bad about ANYBODY , but the guys who do this as their JOB meaning full time racers will be hard to beat you can count on that

Hey SP motorsports, I know you chose the wrong choice of words, cause a guy that has 119 feature wins (19 this year alone, and 7th in national UMP mod points) in his young career and 28 years old,I think could fiqure out a way to race and win just about any car or just about anyone he runs against. I know jeff and his dad and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, his dad was quit the racer too! Jeff has run and won there and is the mod. point leader there. I'm not trying to take anything away from the late model regulars,I'm just saying anything can happen on any givin night,Just ask the whine Baby Kyle Bush!

SP Motorsports didn't bash Jeff Babcock.....he made a -realistic- post.
Babcock would surely do well, as long as he was in equipment that was equal to the 'big guns', and had time to get comfortable in a LM.
But it is not realistic, to think that he would immediately put it on guys like Casebolt, Moyer, VanWormer, Baab, Frank, Bloomquist, Owens, Lanigan, etc, etc.........

Moler results just in, Babcock wins his heat race and his 12th feature of this year at five different race tracks. Grate job to jeff and the whole #52 team these guys have got their act rolling.
