I don't watch Napcar much anymore but the Punkin is under the weather so we are at home watching it. So what is the deal with the "wave around" cars? I keep going in and out of the room and didn't catch what they are if they said.

Before the rule changes this year with the 'Shootout Style', double-file restart, cars that were one lap down and stayed on the track when all lead lap cars made pit stops would restart at the front of the field on the outside lane. While technically back on the lead lap, they would have to fight the leader(s) to keep from being lapped again.

Since the double-file restart rule has been instated, those cars that stay out are "waved around" the pace car, given their lap back, and restart at the end of the field.

Thanks! It seemed that the new way of doing the double file restarts created more excitement. Maybe I won't nap as much now when I watch. lol

I still napped thru the middle third......could've had something to do with the adult beverages I consumed...lol

The last 30 laps were pretty awesome, especially the restart when Hamlin and Johnson got together and Keslowski about got ran over. I think Gordon might've had something for Martin on the last restart if there would have been 6-7 laps left instead of just 2. Seemed that the 24 just took 2 laps or so to get up to speed.

Anyway, no problem on the answer about the wave around rule. Sorry I didn't answer sooner.
