Good Luck Sat!

I cut nobody. I'm just the announcer. The last I checked the Ohio Cycleworx 360's are still on the schedule, albeit shortened a couple shows. However the NRA shows were cut entirely. Ohio Cycleworx still sponsors the track and is the title sponsor for the 360 sprints shows that have been run as well as the remaining 2. I made that logo when I made the facebook page several weeks ago. Sorry if you're offended by the fact that I did something nice for one of our sponsors. Hope to see you this Saturday when the 360s hit the track at Waynesfield Raceway Park.

Was referring to "the field" not you Gerry , and I apologize for that , but there are alot of 360 fans that were so diappointed when we got cut <_< (8 shows down to 2) ???? Some do trucks , some do Mods. / stocks and so on well , we do 360's and was hoping to have a Fri. and Sat. venue in that area like the schedule had promised in the spring! Sorry , just alot of dissapointed people out here , unfortunatly our team won't be back so good luck up there , was always a nice Sprint car track!!! I have been doing this a long time and like it or not , Winged Sprint cars are a good choice in that area for any promoter! Again Good Luck

I'm sorry you think you need to go elsewhere Saturday. From my point of view, that's part of the reason you guys lost the dates you lost. You all say you wanted a Fri-Sat deal between the tracks, but a quarter (or more) of the cars that show up on Friday don't show up on Saturday.

I for one am a big fan of all racing, whether it be winged, non-wing, mod, stock, truck, compact, station wagon...LOL, mini-sprint, etc. Im just as disappointed as anyone, I hate seeing any class losing dates, but I'm also a realist and understand that if cars aren't showing up and fans aren't showing up, that means money isn't showing up. If Dean wasn't as passionate about racing as he is, he could have packed it up and canceled the whole rest of the season, but he didn't. He instead is trying make adjustments that allow him to keep WRP open while trying to maintain the quality of racing our fans deserve. I hope 360s can return for the 2010 season, but that's going to be up to you guys. If you bring the cars, the fans will come.

Its been said a million times on here.... a friday/saturday deal sounds great but the truth of the matter is the economy stinks. i really think most guys that dont run up front on a regular basis cant afford to drop $300-500 twice a weekend to put a car on the track right now as well as the fans... a family (average 2kids 2 adults) that goes both nights drops $75-100 minimum!!! the money just isnt there!!! if you take the UNO students that get into lima for free out of the picture they arent setting any attendance records either. they just dont need to make a profit there to keep the gate open JMO

Yep, ITD, the college makes a big difference too. I'm not saying it's making them a fortune, but I guarantee it helps them absorb some of the blow if they have a down week at the track.

It sucks that the economy is hurting us all the way around. The drivers, fans, and tracks are all making tough decisions this year. Thank you for making those points.

I am sorry we had to go elsewhere too , but when we got cut from the program we had to adjust our schedule , can't just sit idle you know and when a schedule changes as much as the fields has this year it becomes an unsure situation , so we will just wait to see what 2010 brings and hope we are back then. Good Luck up there!
