I had the chance to meet Rick Ferkle at WRP not to long ago,And now the Hewitt Classic at WRP. Talk about open wheel Gods of their time. Wouldnt it be the best to see Rick and jack race against each other like they did in the old Millstream days. I remeber watching Jack school young Jeff Gordon years ago. I'll tell you this, if you hang around people like that you will learn more in conversation by accident then what alot of people do with schooling. Incase for some reason someone doesnt know where / what Millstream is. It was a great track that now has weeds for a racing surface and if you look up directions on a GPS just type in the greatest waste of property near Findlay. The owners name is Clueless Yuppie

sometimes honesty comes from the strangest places

It would be pretty AWESOME to see some of the LEGENDS come in to race the Hewitt classic. There's still plenty of them who are still active, but some that are in semi-retirement, too! Any of the veteran legends in semi-retirement coming out to play??????? (I'd bet we'll see Jack in a car). Just a guess.

Jack and Rick racing together again.....how great that would be! The only way to make it better??? I wanna see Johnny Beaber racing with them. Those 3 guys were the greatest while I was growing up at Limaland & Findlay. I have Jack & Rick's autographs but not Johnny B's. I know Beaber has been running some this year with a wing. Maybe at Lakeville?? If I could just get a photo of those 3 greats together.....that would make my day!!!

I doubt if you would see Rick run with out a wing, i dont think i have ever seen him run with out one. Maybe in the late or mid 60,s when lima ran with out some in what they called the old super mods. But as far a sprint, cant remember him doing it.

That would be an AWESOME picture, for some aspiring (GOOD) photographer to get! LOL~~~~! Give me a shout, Kenny....

I have an idea for ya!

Johnny Beaber is my ALL TIME sprint driving HERO, but I grew up watching him at Lernerville, then even more once I moved
to the W. Ohio area in about 1988/89, at Millstream, for a few years.

At one time, I DID actually have his autograph, but I have no idea what ever happened to that.

I can still remember EXACTLY what it said:

"To Randy,
God Bless.... Johnny Beaber #66"

He was runnin the Jim Ziegler owned # 66 NORTH STREET AUTO SUPPLY special
at the time, out of Meadville & Zelienople, PA.

Now then, I wouldn't be surprised if JB showed up, and I'd also sure like to see Tony win a race of this caliber!

I've also always been a FAN of Rick & Jack, for as long as I can recall being a race fan. ALL GREAT drivers!

on another note,

(fyi.... We're really hoping to be there that night, with the ole' 9cents truck, but we have a couple of hopefully
minor medical hurdles to clear, first! - but we're still trying hard to get out there!)

(Still looking for a few good Hoosier EMOD "D40 - 26.5 & 27.5" tires, at a 9cents budget price- lol.... ALL donations considered!!!)

Heard today Jack will be racing. Prepare for the track to dry and slick because Jack cannot use pull offs.
