I wish more eldora/lima stks would come too, i love comin there & watchin. I thought matheny had hoosiers on, I wasnt in the pits, my bad. If Mr Babcock comes there, make him run w/ the latemodels, he needs some competition lol. hes a butt-spanker in watever class he runs in lol.
No problem. Jeff does run very well, and he won the modified feature at last year's Monster Mash at Montpelier. If he wants a challenge, Montpelier is where he'll get it. I'd like to see him show up Saturday and try to challenge Sherman in the mods and Matheny in the stocks. Todd just seems to have Montpelier figured out.

That's Al Grogg. His car is a leaf spring camaro with a super stock body on it. If he had a different body he would be legal under Eldora/Lima rules. Actually I think he might be even with that body on it. The car that won is a UMP Street Stock. Tony Anderson looked to be having some kind of mechanical problems. They had one car in the street stocks tha looked like a late model, but the rest were eldora/lima stocks.

Hey Rob..congrats on last nites win..As for the 1 car it wouldnt get off the trailer at Eldora..
For one we dont allow open tails and I'm almost positive the cage is 1 1/2 inch. The interior sheet metal is way past 18 inches from the outside edge of the door..As per our rules thats another definate no no

I think you have me confused with Rob Rouch, owner of the 26 late model. You also have the car I'm talking about confused with the 1 car. I am talking about the white #50 of Al Grogg, not the J1 of Jeff Matheny. Matheny was not there last night. You are right that Matheny (yellow #J1) would not get off the trailer at Eldora. Grogg's car is partially enclosed in the rear, probably enough to be legal. He could easily enclose it all the way and change his interior sheet metal to be legal.Hey Rob..congrats on last nites win..As for the 1 car it wouldnt get off the trailer at Eldora..

Not to cause any problems at all. Eldora dont even inspect the cars that run there. Heck I watched a stock win the feature go across the scales and was under weight and nothing was said. Eldora needs to get a set of rules and have a inspection EVERY NIGHT. There would be some better racing out there. That is just my opinion. Montpelier is a great racing track. Its short and you can tell the drivers that really no how to handle there cars. Keep up the good work you guys at Montpelier. It will take time to get a good car and fan count but it will happen.

what car won and was under weight? i believe if the car is under weight, the red light will not come on,that is on the scales. Not to cause any problems at all. that does'nt suprise me at all. they seem to favor him for some reason. eldora should be proud to have a champion ,that ran into every car he passed this season. and then made sure that the championship was wrapped up by having non points the last race.I do apalogize for not getting back sooner. The car that was under weight when he weighed in the night of family fun fest, was the #26 car of Mike D. The red light never came on at all and they still waved him on. I was appr. 10 feet from the scale. Then again im no racer I just enjoy dirt track racing.

I have followed your comments on this forum and was just wondering if you have considered submitting your application to Eldora for the stock car inspector for the 2010 season? I agree 100% that they need someone who will "INSPECT" the cars. I would like to see 2 inspectors working together. The guy doing it now is a nice enough guy but he seems to have NO direction/authority from the "high tower". I guess I look at the rules that are published year after year from tracks as a combination of good rules but who has been given the authority to punish a driver when the car does not pass inspection? Have you seen or heard of any punishment being handed down? I have been involved with the racing community for over 20 years and I see nothing but a few hand slaps and more often than not "have that changed before next week" Next weeks inspection never comes.I cant count how many times he would move the car in front of him cause he cant get around them. Im sorry but people like him kill the stock class. Next time he races pay attention to how his stock car rear end hikes up and indexes. There is alot of similarities in his mod chassis and his stock stock chassis. His stock chassis looks just like a pierce mod chassis with the motor moved forward. Plus its a 3 bar car. How pathetic is that. Being able to run a 3 bar car in a stock class. Then again eldora doesnt tech there cars. For example when Limaland ran there keysor race, I do beleive that was the one that got rained out, it was a 2000 to win for the stocks. He brung his modified but not his stock car. What kind of sense does that make? His car will not pass inspection at Lima or Montpelier. I wouldnt be afraid to say that his intake isnt a steel one either and his tubing is a little small. Like you said he is favored at Eldora.
I see the rules as pretty cut and dried. I also think they would not be broken so often if there was a ramdom inspection of any or all cars at any time they are at the race track. If they fail one of the rules, that driver looses all the points earned up to that point. If they are cheating on that day chances are they have been cheating all season. Now I am aware that you will have some people who understand the rules differently than others. But that is when the Inspector needs to have a back bone and the tower needs to trust the inspectors opinion. I know at Eldora there are two really nice barns that could be used to do the inspection in. I would lke to see a couple of cars each week go through a random inspection. And when the inspection is going on allow other crews/drivers be in attenedence to witness the whole process. (NO opinions welcome from the croud)
Would that change the jealous attitudes towards a driver that is winning a lot? I think not! But at least the insinuations could be proved or dis-proved.
How about it eldorahighsideman are you up for the task?? Someone needs to do it and with all your knowledge of the rules I think you may be the one they need.
