These Hondas will not run right with just a fuel cell. They require alot more fuel pressure.Dont quote me but i heard they are runing the stock fuel tank, if so i dont like that idea. they need a fuel cell.

I bet guys would figure out a way to make em run right if fuel cells were mandatory. Im all for keeping an entry level class as affordable as possible, but the fuel cell is one area that no one should skimp on, regardless of the class of car.
Just my 2 cents

I'm going to try one to see if i can get it to work cant do it this week but I got a cell and am reseaching for a pump.I will say I've seen to cars with them before but they had no fire wall between it and the driver and with a electric fuel pump that scared me more. The good thing about the stock set up on hondas anyway is that if they dont build pressure imediatly they shut off. Maybe some of the truck guys could help i know some of them ran fuel injection in the past. I dont know if they still do.Hey Compact Racers,
PLEASE consider putting the fuel cells in your cars. We don't want anybody
to be example why they should have put a fuel cell in their car. The expense of this would be
minimal compared to a helicopter ride to a burn unit.

I wasn't trying to stir up anything here. But in my opinion, I wish they all had fuel cells. I have 2) 12 year old boys and it is very possible that we might have a compact racing in a few years. I just wouldn't even consider letting my kids race without a cell. And I would definately be checking out the other cars on the track before I put my kids out there with them. Not only for my families safety but the chance of my kid causing a life threatening injury to somebody else who's car is not safe is just something I won't be part of. I've spent most of my 40 year life enjoying racing. And I hope my kids grow up loving it the way I do.
I'm glad that I wasn't at Eldora the night we lost Jimmy. I'm not sure I could have continued to be involved in racing as much as I am if I would have actually seen JJ's crash. The funeral was hard enough. I can still hear Hank Zimpfer's screaming from his pain because I was right beside the car when the safety crew got him out. I just tell myself that his screaming was a good thing because it could have been worse.
I raced on the lowest budget possible and still remember when they changed our helmet requirement from DOT to Snell. I complained that those cost as least $300. The track told me that if my head & life weren't worth $300 then I need to find another hobby. They were right!!
i remember that night at waynesfield. it was my 1st or 2nd time there and was probably by far one of the worst crashes i have ever seen.
