if they open the silly rules back up they would have more carsMike....sorry but I could not get the complete b-main run down by the time that I needed to get everything sent out to the newspapers. I know they got them posted on the website but this story was already finished by then.
We had 14 minis show up but 2 of them broke before the heats started. I have no idea what is going on with them. Raceway 35 only got like 11 cars to race last week. I know they promissed Dean more cars than they brought this week when this years schedule was being made out. It's too bad they have a great track to race but won't support it.

Unfortunately the 600 mini sprints are dying out. Many racers are moving up to the 1000's.. Its a shame because there are 2 great race tracks within 2 hours of each other to race. Do you know what Waynesfield pays? I know when I raced at 35 it was $300 to win, $350 if there were 24 cars, but now since he's only been getting 10ish cars he's not paying hardly anything.

thats what i mean if they open the rules the way they were i know of at leaet 5 more cars each week the 35 boys dont come here because we have the 600 rule we are the only track anywhere in the sorunding states that has this silly 600 rule just to many people crying that they arent winning
The open engine rule is what killed it in the first place. 1 or 2 cars winning every week drives cars off. I've seen it happen at Waynesfield, and also with the AMSA in the early 00's. 35 has an open engine rule and isn't getting any cars, plus the muffler and the general BS involved with that place drives cars off. I really don't know what would be the way to fix 600cc racing.. and it won't happen this year because there are less than 25 cars trying to run 2 different tracks. Maybe the tracks could work together with a compromise, one week race at waynesfield, the next week at 35, then have a point series between the tracks?

i dont think the engine rule hurt anything i just think that there are some racers in that class thatwant their kids to win to fast meaning less competition sure there are some good motors out there but you still need to have a good setup an driver look at fremont saturday the 305 guys beat the 360 guys no differentThe open engine rule is what killed it in the first place. 1 or 2 cars winning every week drives cars off. Well I agree you need a good set up, but at Waynesfield as far as setup, its very basic stuff. Until it gets so slick that you have to pedal the car around, and not flat-foot all the way around, Waynesfield will continue to be a motor track. I know of several cars who race/raced there during the open engine rule times, and had close to 10'000 in their engines alone. It needs to be where you can get a $500 Gsxr off ebay, Buy a S&S header and pipe, and go race.
