LAST NIGHT US WOMEN BOUGHT TICKETS FOR THE JACK HEWITT RIDE. WE ENDED UP WINNING AND LET OUR 13 YEAR OLD NAIGHBOR BOY CHRISTOPHER RIDE. HIS BROTHER RACES THE 27X COMPACT. CHRIS WANTS THE GUYS TO BUILT HIM A MINI SPRINT HE CAN CONTROL WITH HIS FEET LIKE HE PLAYS PLAYSTATION CHRIS HAS MEDICAL PROMBLEMS AND DONT HAVE MUCH MUSCLE CONTROL OF HIS ARMS. NOT ONLY DID JACK GIVE HIM A RIDE OF A LIFE TIME BUT HE SPEND ABOUT AN HOUR WITH CHRIS TALKING AND JOKING ABOUT HOW THEY WALK ALIKE. EVEN TOOK TIME TO GET HIS PICTURES TAKEN WITH HIM. JACK IS A REAL HERO. CHRIS STILL HAS A SMILE FROM EAR TO EAR. :D

Awesome story. The kindness of the people at WRP is just one more reason why we choose to race there.

That made my night right there! To see that little boys smile when he pulled the helmet off was priceless! And for Jack to take extra time to spend with that boy.........class act!!! Jack is a true legend and we're honored to be able to honor him with the classic race. If you didn't get a lump in your throat to see that little boy's joy then you don't have a pulse! There are still a few good people in racing like that. Another example is Jeff Babcock and what he did for Austin on his birthday. This guys and gals is what really makes local racing fun and is the biggest lesson that I've learned about racing since retiring. I am and always will be a Jeff Babcock and Jack Hewitt fan for life!
