not racing because he has to do track prep for his millstream shows
Can't believe how fast word travels....or better yet, how quick people start complaining.
Here's the scoop - I took my sprint car out there to fire the motor for the first time. We noticed the pit gate was open, and sent one of our guys to go let them know we were there....he didn't see anyone. Someone came over, and said Dean was there as well, and shortly after they came over to say hi, see what the hell we were doing, etc.
He said he is running 4 shows this year, and some next year as well. One of the first questions we had was.....are you going to continue with Waynesfield? He replied with a stern YES. He also told us he has epilepsy, has his drivers license taken away from him due to it, and has to stay locked down in the hospital over the weekend. It's lame to use an assumed identity to talk smack, and post assumptions that you have no basis for stating.
Anyway, first race is Sunday August 30th with 410 winged sprints, 305 sprints, and v-8 trucks vs. stocks. Hey SP, bring some 4 cylinder trucks over....now's your chance to prove they are 2 seconds faster than stocks.
In future shows, 360 sprints, wingless sprints, are to be included, and an all star race is in the works.
I'd recommend if you have any questions, to ask Dean directly instead of posting smack on the internet. He's plenty approachable, and seems more than happy to answer questions. My own speculation - a profitable findlay may be a good life support for a less than profitable waynesfield.....keep that in mind.

August 18, 2009
Due to unforeseen health concerns of integral staff at Waynesfield Raceway Park, we regretfully have postponed the racing program scheduled for Saturday August 22, 2009. The make up date for the Lee's Hydraulics Non Wing Sprints, Ohio Cycleworx 360 Sprints, Miracle Motorsports Tuff Trucks, and JR and Sons Service Center Compacts will be Friday September 4th, 2009. The Fowler and Hadding 600cc Mini-Sprints portion of the program will be made up on Sunday September 27, 2009.
We apologize to all of our fans, drivers, and teams for this inconvenience, however we were left with no other choice. We look forward to to getting through this difficult situation and providing you with the great racing action you are accustomed to seeing at Waynesfield Raceway Park
We fully intend in being back in action on Saturday August 29th and beyond, and completing the rest of our season.
On behalf of everyone at Waynesfield Raceway Park, thank you for your understanding.
