Knowing beforehand that I will most likely be chastised for this post, I would like to express my concerns (as well as others) regarding a decision that was made last night during the non-wing sprint B-main. Brandon had a RR tire go flat during a lengthy caution flag period. Even to the point of the announcer having the opportunity to articulate on the situation for several laps. Realizing that those in control of the race were aware of this situation ... "I appreciate all the kind comments and constructive critisism (as posted under another topic). I take great pride in being the official starter of any race. I enjoy what I do. I apologise to anyone that feels I don't take my job serious. Appearently I did get your attention though so I'm not just another guy standing on a flagstand. Honestly I can't see what me "dancing" has to do with being serious. I think both Bridgit and I pay great attention to the entire field when the cars are on the track. I will be the first to admit that both of us have made mistakes. "Should we have thrown a certain flag?" At Waynesfield we have 1 worker in the infield, 1 worker in turn 4, and the scorers watching over the entire field. We don't have 3-4 safety workers at all 4 corners to alert us of any situations on the track. Yet, we are pretty quick to warn the field of any danger. I want to thank EVERYONE for supporting Waynesfield. Even those that don't enjoy me. I hope they enjoy the show that the rest of the staff and the racers put on. Thanks again for the compliments. Your friendly neighborhood flagman," Maybe you need 3-4 safety workers .... "we are pretty quick to warn the field of any danger" ????? ... Brandon did a great job maintaining an undrivable (at speed) race car. Thankfully, no one behind this crippled car was involved in a mishap ... this time... Respectfully submitted, Chris Simon Non-wing sprint cars #22, #23, and #24

horrible situation for brandon now i have been to limaland a lot and whenever someone gets a flat tire they make them get off the track now i think they should let people change a tire and get back out there which in this case prolly wouldnt have helped brandon as it was just a green white checkered but im telling you it wasnt worth the amount of danger they put the rest of the field in. IF the flagman took his job seriously then he shouldnt have thrown the green when he knew the tire was flat he should have pointed brandon to the infield or the pits but the green flag should not have waved period.

Isnt it also the driver who should feel for his own safety? Could he of pulled off by himself. Is he not putting his safety in his own hands? He is a good enought driver to known when to pull it in on his own.

true....but ultimatly the flag person shudda thru the flag because what bout the rest of the field?......so just because he didnt get off the track ...the flag person says its alright for him to stay on and still throw a green flag....come on man.....anything cud have happened...theres still no excuse especially when they knew it was flat and still let him run 3 or 4 laps until it was over....period end of story!!!!!! argue all u want u guys need a new flagman or calm him down enough to where he dont look like hes peeing his pants

I think Brandon should have been black flagged, or told on his 1 way radio to pull in.....maybe he was told over the radio, and just ignored it? Maybe he thought he could hold on and transfer to the A?

However you look at it, the fact remains, Brandon has been driving sprinters long enough to know damn well he had a flat RR. He wiggled the car around a couple of times during the yellow, he had to have felt that the rear end was spongy and wallowing around.....plus he can see the LR to see it was up, and had to have felt the car leaning to the right. When he stepped on it to take the green, he had to have really known something was wrong.

Did the flagman, or the people in the tower force him run 3 laps with the flat? No. He is the one piloting the thing........

from what ive heard, the flagman isnt the one that makes the decision. Obviously the one that does felt that racing could continue. the flagman/flagwoman are fun to watch, and i think they are the best around!

but still....the fact remains that ....theflag man is responsible...because wether he felt he cud hold on to it and transffer....who wudnt?......by not black flagging him the flag person put the rest of the field in danger ....how do u justify that one? he put a gun to guys head to keep racing......theres no excuse period!!!!

^^^Please translate this jibberish. ^^^

Brandon HAD TO HAVE FELT something was wrong with the car. His butt is in the seat, not the person in the flagstand, or the people in the tower.

I will agree that they should have never thrown the green knowing Brandon had a flat. Everybody that was sitting around me last night was appalled that they just threw the green and didn't even try to tell Brandon to get off the track so he wouldn't put the other drivers at risk.

look at that now all of you need to stop and read what westfall said i know you guys will still try to argue with him but he is the most accomplished racer at waynesfield and he knows what he is talkin about.

Its the flagmans job to get brandon off the track
