Word from Jerry Lear (track promoter) is 33 trucks. That don't mean that they will all be there the first night. What kind of truck you running? What number? I'll be there also...look forward to meeting you.

number will be 81. It is a s-10. How much work are most people doing to their trucks? Didnt know if guys are going crazy with them yet since the trucks are only in their second year.

Cool, I'll be looking for you. Will you be ready for the first night (May7th)? As for the work on the trucks...there's not too much you can do other than stock due to the rules. You can run racing shocks, quick steer, and a racing spring on the right front. Other than that you can't do too much to them. I would suggest to get rid of any elontronics if you have them (EFI). It wouldn't be wise to put too much effort in the motor as there is a claiming rule of chump change.

Injunear......are you in or who?

I'm not ready yet and I'll probably not be there until opening night. Were you at the swap meet in Lima about three weeks ago or so? I think there will be some pretty good action this season in the truck division. Things happen much slower in this division on the track as opposed to a stock or mod. I just hope people don't get stupid in this class.

I thought about getting into the trucks, and went to check one out. It was pretty damn scary how it was built, and I know someone else bought it. I sure hope they scrapped the cage and put a decent one in. Aint worth killing yourself to save a few bucks.

Was that the black 00 truck from last season? It was a mess! I'm like you, I hope they put a new cage in it.

Yep, with all due respect to the seller and buyer, no way in hell would I run that. One side of the halo pointed upwards, the other side pointed down...about 6 inches from being square. I can't weld at all, and could've done a better job. Not to mention, the entire cage was "welded" directly to the floorboards, and one welded to the firewall. You'd have a better chance of it breaking apart and stabbing you than it being any kind of safety factor. I realize wanynesfield aint eldora, but if that truck got tipped over and tapped on the roof over 5 mph by another truck, it's nice knowing whoever was foolish enough to run it like that. I hope waynesfield makes a stand on stuff like this so nobody gets killed.

Are the rules still the same as they were at the beginning of the year last year?

Hey Hippy....what's up? No the rules are different a little this season. We can now run quick steers and racing shocks (one per wheel). We can run a racing spring on the right front only. There is now an engine claim rule...I'm not sure how much it cost to claim an engine though. It should be interesting on that rule this season.....I think it will get used quite a bit!

Hey git-er-done: I wouldn't be too proud to say that I made money off that truck you had, because if I remember correctly you advertised it as a front running truck......LIE. It was a piece of crap and was lapped in about every race it was in. I really hope the new owner did invest a little money in it because like dirtracer said.....someone was going to get hurt bad in that thing. Good luck to whoever bought it but you really took their money if you got more than $100 out of it! They would've been better off starting to build one from scratch.

Hey Chris.....I re-read my post and it sounded pretty harsh and I apologize. I'm sorry but I just get upset about people wanting to race a wadded up piece of crap and hope for the best. When I raced stocks at limaland, sure I didn't have a wonderful and beautiful car, but it was safe. There isn't anyone but yourself that can worry about your safety. I don't mean to sound like I am lecturing or anything because I know it wasn't your fault the truck was built that way. Hey good luck with getting your car back together. Sounds like there were a few cars torn up that first week at Lima. Track keeps getting worse and worse every year. I did the same thing 97d suggested......do something about it....I quit racing for a few years and haven't been back to Lima to race since. I really like what Waynesfield is doing and I hope it continues. Sorry again Chris.

Let's let this die, I don't want anyone to have personal problems with anyone. The truck has some okay parts like a decent seat, racing wheel, and some other odds and ends. I just don't think Nick at Edge would be too thrilled that creation was being advertised as something he built. Also if you recall, when I mentioned that the cage wasn't safe and why, "waynesfield aint eldora" was the response I got. Anyway, I aint trying to slam you, I just hope the new owner realizes the safety of putting something that might work for a roll cage in it so he doesn't get hurt.

The cage was bent by nick i never said nick welded it up i never said it was the safest truck i was just selling it as is i wasent trying to piss anyone off i didnt have time to fool with the stupid thing because the stock car takes all my time and money if it would have been mine to race and keep it would have been alot safer then what it was but i know nick did bend the cage in the truck because i asked him when he was doing my body on the stocker and he said he did bend the cage now i cant say much for the guy who installed it because he is a lier he told me he ran up front with the truck and thats what i told u guys i think i even showed u the paper he gave me where he was adverting on selling the truck and he said he ran 2 and 3 in features and won some heats he lied to me and i told u what he said and he made me look like a lier and im sorry for that i did not mean to tell u guys a story i was telling u what i was told and thats all
