Hey, it was a good night of racing accept for the mod flip. Then things improved after they reworked the track. but 40 mods is good for the track. We got our first heat win in the Mod. "Tim the GASSMAN Cornett" #35 got 10th in the A. Good job GASSMAN LOL!! Yes it was cold, but it was still a lot of fun, just glad no-one was seriously hurt. There were some rough crashes. See you all next season. Nice job to the"Promoters".

A black #0, came into turn 1 and it was rutted really bad at the time, right front caught and he took a bad one, he was ok, but complaind of back pain. Can't remember his name. Maybe Hoosier Race Fan would know him. I've seen him around though. After the flip was when they fixed the track. Also Sutter(pop) was in the A for stocks. Nice job too! Tony had his new mod there.

I know it's been almost two months since the Mash, but the black #0 that took the nasty flip was Rob Scarette. He is a regular at Union County and semi-regular at Montpelier. This was his rookie year in the mods and he was Montpelier's rookie of the year. Not quite the way he wanted to end the year though. He's a past track champion in the super stocks at both tracks.
I hope Montpelier can keep up the momentum the track had going the 2nd half of the 2009 season. Harold and Lori did a really nice job of promoting the track and making it a respectable place to go once again. I had the opportunity to take my first laps in a street stock at the Mash and would love to start racing next year, but I think myself and many others face a huge challenge on the financial side for the 2010 season. Hopefully things will improve and 2010 will be a great season.
