Racing Sponsorship Seminar January 9th Open to Public “FREE TO PCTC MEMBERS”

On January 9, 2010, a sponsorship training seminar will be offered in conjunction with a meeting of the Pittsburgh Circle Track Club (PCTC). The presentation, titled "Why Your Proposal Got Trashed" The Do’s and Don’ts of Racing Sponsorships will examine the most common mistakes made by race teams seeking operating dollars. The informative session is free of charge to members of the PCTC, and non-members will be asked to make a $2 donation to the club for admittance.

Presenter Mike Lysakowski, of Motorsport Aspects Limited, will help race teams and speedway operators to understand the thinking of a typical marketing executive, when reviewing sponsorship requests. Lysakowski, who has worked in the auto racing industry since his teen years, has been a sports journalist, broadcaster, publisher/editor, marketing consultant, and a highly successful public relations specialist for over 15 years. He has prepared proposals for sponsorship seekers, and has often been hired to review proposals and make spending decisions for corporations looking to use motorsports as a marketing vehicle. With experience on both sides of the fence and over a decade of media relations expertise, Lysakowski will improve the thought processes of the audience, relative to landing major sponsors for race car teams and or race tracks. With his firm now a full service printing company, Motorsport Aspects will serve as sponsor of the session, and Lysakowski will donate the presentation to the PCTC.

The meeting/seminar will take place at 7:00pm on January 9, 2010 at the Callery Fire Hall, 179 Main Street, Callery, PA 16024. Drivers, crew members, team owners, speedway employees, management, and racing publicists/marketing representatives are all invited for this one-time only seminar.

For more information about the training, contact Mike Lysakowski at motorsportaspects@yahoo.com.
