Couple of questions about 09 and general Lima stuff. 1 What was the best race you seen at LIMALAND in 09? 2 Do you like the food at the track? or Do you eat before or after the races? 3 Best dirt race track in OHIO? 4 Favorite restaurant in the Lima area? 5 Your Greatest Limaland driver of all time? 6 Last the one thing you would change about Limaland? 1 Heat race with Babcock went from tail to front Its on you-tube 2 I eat at the track but I cant say its all that great. 3 I have to go with ELDORA I like the speed. To be honest the only good race are Stocks,lates and mods there. Sprints are pretty lame. 4 Wow don't live there anymore so it would be nice if some guys would give some input here. 5 Ron Semelka There was a stretch where he won what seemed every race. 6 I would change out B.F. with someone who cares.

All Heck here we go, but I am gonna get in on it. My answers will be truthful and the way I see it. 1. Our locals put their hearts and right feet into every race every week and those shows are hard to beat, but the 410's are always awesome at Lima, and need to be there more often. So I am unable to pick just one favorite, sorry. 2. The food is good, I think. I eat there every week, but I do have one question? Why No Fries on Pitside??? 3. No, Best facility-Yes, but Not the Best Dirt Track. 4. Kewpee 5. I respect them all, didn't say I liked them all, But I do respect them all (However Ferkel, Allen, Hewitt, Hawk, Wasson, Brecht, Dussel, Miller, Blaney and Stewart DO know how to get around Lima) Too many to mention, only covered Some Sprints 6. Some of the Officials are Killing Limaland. I won't say their names because we all know who they are. I know alot of the drivers would have a much better time if they did not have to worry about Getting on a certain SH** LIST at Lima cuz if you do, your screwed!!! Lima is a great Place to Race, but after being a regular since the University took over (and way before that too) It seems to me that it is all business. It does not have the feel or Atomsphere of Fremont, Attica, Eldora, KC, and several other tracks that I have regulared over the years. The schedule Never changes and they Never reschedule anything? They are Quick to call it a nite in the event of rain, and even without it. Oh I will keep going there to watch the races, but don't know for how long because all those other tracks that I mentioned, well they are always coming up with new things. Keeps it interesting and Not business-Like JMO That's All, You All Happy New Race Season Everyone!!!

1- Best race, I think all of them where can you see 3 and 4 wide racing. 2- Food i think their food is very well priced and good. 3-Best track- Lima look at the number of special races and big payouts they have for stocks and mods. 4- The Red barn if any one remembers it. 5- Hewitt with out a doubt, His dad even helped get the track right when they high banked it. So many drivers cut their teeth there in the 60,s and 70,s. Kinser, Haud, Jacobs. And so many more who were regulars there on a sat night . 6- Officials. But there is a friendly surrounding if you only get to know some of them.

5. I really believe that Mike Brecht has to be considered one of the all time greatest drivers at Limaland. I remember Jonny Beaber, Smelca, Hewitt, and all the rest in the last 35 years. BUT....Brecht has dominated the racing just as much as anyone ever. The biggest factor to me......Brecht has done it in both mods & sprints. I also need to say that Phil Gressman stands out in my head as being near the top of all sprint drivers. He won 2 championships (years apart) and I'm sure he would have won alot more if he had descided to keep running Lima every year. I was at Eldora one night when they tore Gressman's motor down after he won and people thought he must be cheating. Mark Long was standing near me and I asked Mark..."do you think he is cheating?" Mark told me..."I hope so because I can't see how he can be that much faster than me." They found Phils car to be legal!!
