I heard today that Waynesfield will be cutting out the Compact cars, Minisprints and Stock Cars. They are going to add wing sprints. If this is true It will be a shame. to mess up what was a great Sat. night local track.

lets hope its a rumor, stocks and minis usually had good car counts, doesnt seem logical.be nice if they would say something pretty soon as to let some people know what to do for next year, [This message has been edited by skip (edited 11-28-2006).]

I think running winged sprinters at Waynesfield would be a mistake. True, there are several 'local' cars that run wings, however, by running non wing they have truely given the 'little guy' a chance to run older and less costly equipment! Not only in initial cost, but also in maintenance costs. If they decide to run wings, i hope they at least rotate wing cars one week, non-wing cars the next week.

i hope they leave the winged cars at limaland. its great having a weekly non-wing show without having to go to indiana. the winged cars are too expensive. without the wings, non-millionaires can be competative and win some races. fremont,kc,eldora usually, and how many others run winged cars on saturdays, why add another. they add wings, the little guy loses.

Has any of you that are in question called Cub to voice this. Without them knowing what the racers want how can they make a wise choice. I had asked for cubs number and got no where

I don't know the status of the kart track Skip, but I can attest to the smaller number of karts. I was at the last race of this season at the kart track, and the count was probably 1/3 of what it was a few years ago.

Well they must be making some kind of changes or it would not take this long to announce it. My guess is they are waiting til after the kart banquet to avoid confrontation. If nothing is changing they would have just said so.
